The house was old but in decent shape with some recent renovations. It worked well for our family (wife and 3 kids inlaws) and was very conveniently located for the kennedy space center and national park/beach. We got to see 3 rocket launches while we were here with only a 10-15 minute drive for the best spots, and we probably could have seen most of the launches even from the house itself. The kids really enjoyed the pool. While there weren't a lot of bells and whistles otherwise, most everything was functional with 2 exceptions. 1) The main issue was with the thermostat and a lot of back and forth with the manager about getting it to function correctly (we were told we could set it as low as 72 but it kept defaulting to 76 if we weren't continuously adjusting it or turned off the wifi connection. This was improved but never fully fixed during the entirety of our stay). 2) There were also some issues with the hot water heater. Without the above issues, I would give the place a strong 4 stars. Even with them it was still a wonderful vacation with lots to like about the place, but there were definitely some unnecessary and avoidable (if relatively minor) frustrations that were not welcome during our R&R. ##### TJ B. The biggest issue we had was we stayed during a bad heat wave and the air conditioner was set at 74\. The owners did not want the air set any lower and the unit had a hard time keeping up. I had discussed with the owner that we are traveling with an infant and they need sleeping temps 68-72 degrees. The owner was nice enough to agree that we can keep the air at 70 during the night. However, i would be up several times during the night and find the thermostat again set to 74\. The owners were also nice enough to let us stay a little longer on check out day to watch a launch. The launch was unfortunately canceled. We live in florida so we understand the difficulty with the air conditioning but the way it kept reverting to 74 and sometimes 76 degrees was frustrating. ##### Debbie S. Great for energy savings but terrible when everyone goes to bed and the house heats up. Especially when there were extreme heat warnings the entire time we were there. There was no welcome booklet as stated in the check in information so I had to go through the VRBO a App to contact the property manager. Other then those 2 things the place was great. We had a lovely stay for three nights while we took our family to a wedding. The house was clean and pleasant. Central location with a short drive (30 min) to Kennedy Space Center Pool was very nice. We absolutely loved our stay at the launch pad. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood and clean and modern decor. Well stocked with everything we could ever need and comfortable. Close to beautiful quiet beaches and lots of wildlife to see. We were lucky enough to see a space X rocket launch which was amazing. Would definitely stay again and will recommend. Property manager was not real prompt with responses. Floor was very dirty and had to wash feet if going barefoot. Ran out of toilet paper even after requesting more on two separate occasions. The house is very clean and functional. We love to be outside and if you want to do this in Florida, it requires an outdoor screen.
