This house of a former boat builder is unusual in many ways. Very untypical for stone houses in the protected areas of the old towns of Dalmatia, it is characterized by almost three meters high ceilings. The large, partly up to one hundred years old and elaborately renovated windows flood the rooms with lots of light. Their elaborate design reminds of the Jugendstil period, as we know from our old buildings in Western Europe. At the end of a row of old town houses, it seems almost to be detached. With its large garden it appears airy and bright. Due to the location on the edge of the old town center, it is one of the few original stone houses, which can be reached by car and offer a parking space directly in front of the door. You are able to reach the property via a narrow alley that can be driven by car. Through the wooden gate, in a natural stone wall, you enter the garden. The house welcomes you with its first terrace, equipped with a dining table for six persons, which seems to exude the aroma of coffee and fresh bread rolls. The elaborately decorated garden, planted with olives, lavender and rosemary, provides a Mediterranean welcome, sun beds invite you to feel comfortable. Next to the house, in front of the former stable buildings, is the second terrace. Another large dining area attracts to rest, especially in the early evening hours, as the sun sinks behind the property walls, which give pleasant shade on hot days. If you enter the house now on the ground floor, you enter the dining room with its large table, where the inhabitants of the house can easily find space. Also the fully equipped kitchen is here. In the rear part of the large room, separated by a partitioning semi-high wall, is the living room, with large corner sofa, armchair and TV. This also provides cozy evening hours in the house. Both areas can, of course, be heated and cooled, as are the bedrooms, with air conditioning. Next to the living rooms, the first bedroom with a large bed, which is built like a alcove, and radiates comfort and protection. Nextdoor the bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Across the old wooden stairs you enter the upper floor with its almost ten meters long corridor. The newly renovated parquet recalls the beneficial times of the builder, at the beginning of the 20th century. Upstairs you will find a very spacious bathroom and two bedrooms each with a double bed, naturally also air-conditioned. Looking out of the window of the corridor, the view swipes over the gardens of Betina, the sea between Murter and the mainland, and the mountains of the Velebit behind them. Who likes leaves the house now across the door on the first floor. Here you will find a small balcony and you will return to the garden by the outside staircase. All the rooms of the property are harmonious and lovingly furnished with antique furniture in country house style and impress with their bright, friendly atmosphere. Dishwasher and washing machine complete the comfort. After only a few steps through the beautiful old town alleys of Betina you reach the elaborately and lovingly restored market square in the center of the small town. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and the harbour with its numerous historical wooden boats, which remind us of the long tradition of shipbuilding in Betina. The nearest bathing spot in the town center is only about 200m away, a small sea bath and a pebbly beach are about 400m away and are easy to reach, even with children, by feet. In the house you have internet via Wlan. The pearls of the Adriatic, Sibenik, Zadar, Split and Trogir and the national parks Krka and Kornati invite to day trips. As soon as we arrived, we felt at home. The whole house inside and out is thoughtfully decorated and has a very cozy and warm feeling. The owners clearly thought about the little details to make the stay comfortable. The house itself is also very functional and has all the amenities you need including a grill, kettle, washing machine, screened windows etc. The spacious parking lot in front of the house was definitely a bonus and after some practice, easy enough to get in and out. Overall, the house fit our family of five perfectly. It is also nicely located close to restaurants, a bakery, a little market and grocery store in Betina, but it's also walkable distance to Murter center ( about 20-30 minutes). Communication with the owner was flawless and immediate and they provided great input for the area and to our specific questions. We can definitely recommend this place. ##### Tanja L. Séjour de 15 nuits en juin 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Urs G. 7 juin 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Schönes Haus Das Haus war sehr schön und hat uns sehr gefallen, die Möblierung und Farben waren auserlesen, die Räume hervorragend ausgeleuchtet, etwas was wir in Ferienhäuser noch nie so erlebt haben. Der Innenhof war schön und schützte uns gut vor der mittelmässigen Umgebung, die nie mit der Qualität des Hauses mithalten konnte. Das Haus hat keine Ausblicke in die Weite, was wir aber auch nicht erwarten durften, weil sich das Haus in der Old-City befindet. Beim Ankommen würden wir uns wünschen, dass die Boiler eingeschalten sind, insbesondere weil wir zu Beginn das Pech einer Schlechtwetterperiode hatten. Die Einkaufmöglichkeiten sind sehr gut. Wir haben auch mehrmals gekocht (zur Info: es hat keine Gewürze/Oel, Essig etc.) Mit unserem Auto haben wir es auch problemlos auf den Parkplatz geschafft, im Unterschied zu unseren Freunden, die mit ihrem Miet-SUV nach dem ersten Mal des kollektiven Ein- uns Ausparkens dann darauf verzichteten. Upgrads durch Autovermieter bereiten nicht nur Freude... Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt in Betina genossen und in guter Erinnerung. ##### Urs G. Es ist großzügig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es ist alles ausreichend vorhanden. Nicht abgezählt und nicht billig. Die Betten sind klasse, auch für lange Menschen wie meinen Ralph mit 1,97\. Die Kommunikation war prima, die Schlüsselübergabe hat problemlos geklappt. Das Haus bietet alles, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Die Lage ist perfekt - Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in Fußnähe und die schönen Strände sind in kurzer Autofahrt zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. ##### Annette O. Das abendliche Leben findet rund um den kleinen Hafen statt, mit einigen netten einfachen Restaurants, besondere Attraktion: die abendlichen Spiele des örtlichen Wasserballclubs, in dem eigens hierfür reservierten „Hafenbecken“. Das geschmackvoll renovierte Steinhaus liegt am Rande des Ortskerns und hat sogar einen eigenen Parkplatz. Im schön angelegten Innenhof kann man wunderbar sitzen, grillen und morgens auch frühstücken. Ein tolles Ferienhaus. ##### Lutz P. Wir (2 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder) haben die Pfingstferien im Bootshaus genossen. Um es kurz zu sagen: das Haus ist super, die Kommunikation mit Vermieter und dem Sevice vor Ort war vollkommen problemlos, die Lage des Hauses war optimal, die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Laufweite, unser Lieblingsstrand in 15 Minuten mit dem Rad erreichbar. Im Bootshaus fühlten wir uns vom ersten Augenblick an wohl; alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden. Sehr praktisch war auch die Klimaanlage, da wir das Glück hatten, 11 Tage lang strahlenden Sonnenschein und immer über 30°C zu haben. Wir können alles bedenkenlos empfehlen. Wir haben ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Haus vorgefunden. Das voll und ganz die Erwartungen, die durch die Beschreibung geweckt wurden, erfüllt hat. Alles war vorhanden. Das Haus war super sauber, kein Krümelchen Schmutz zu entdecken.Das Haus liegt sehr zentral in Betina, so dass man spätestens nach 5 Min Gehzeit Restaurants und Bars, sowie Lebensmittelgeschäfte erreichen konnte. Wir können das Haus ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Wenn wir wieder mal auf die Insel Murter kommen, dann auf jeden Fall wieder in dieses Haus. ##### Ute H. Séjour de 7 nuits en septembre 2018 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Markus I., Stuttgart, Deutschland 4 sept. 2018 #### Picturesque house with lots of space inside and a nice yard around Wonderful and perfectly restored old building directly adjacent to the "old town" part of Betina. Nice neighborhood with friendly people. Everything in Betina and central Murter (village) can be arrived by foot. The private car parking belonging to the house is spacious, but beware of the corner you have to drive before you enter the parking lot. Very big cars are very hard to get inside, I'd rather recommend renting some space outside (\~20 HRK per day). Murter is a very beautiful island, ideally for people that like beach and nature. Infrastructure there is pretty well, no need to drive long ways to get everything for your daily needs. The next little supermarket is about 150 m away, another one \~1.5 km. The owner of the house was extremely helpful and concerned for our wellbeing, the people on-site as well. Next time we visit Croata, Murter island and this house or another from this owner is very likely one of our choices again! ##### Markus I. Es liegt fußläufig sowohl zu Betina, dessen kleiner Altstadt und dem Stadtstrand, als auch Murter. Das Haus ist durchdacht und geschmackvoll eingerichtet - das gilt für Küche, Wohn- und Schlafbereich und auch den Außenbereich. Zwei kleine Supermärkte und ein täglich stattfindender Marktstand mit Obst, Gemüse, etwas Käse und dalmat. Schinken sind um die Ecke. Wir haben die Tipps der Hausbesitzer für verschiedene Strände genutzt und genossen. ##### Chris V. Wir verbrachten als Familie mit 2 kleinen Kinder 3 Wochen im Bootshaus ....und es war einfach nur wunderschön. Man fühlte sich sofort wohl und man dachte im ersten Moment „ hier will ich einziehen“! Es war alles so schön, stilvoll und harmonisch ausgestattet...wie in einer Zeitschrift von „schöner Wohnen“! Durch das tolle Ambiente fühlte man sich sofort angekommen und im Urlaub! Kurze Wege in die Alstadt von Betina, sowie Murtet...tolle Restaurants, Café‘s und Konoba‘s. Vom 31.05\. - 10.06\. waren wir auf der bezaubernden Insel Murter im Ort Betina. Betina bietet alles, was zu einem gelungenen Adriaurlaub gehört. Murter mit seinen vielen Buchten ist toll und das frisch sanierte Bootshaus komplettiert den Urlaub. Wie schön ist hier alt und neu kombiniert. Auch den Garten und den kurzen Weg in den Ort haben wir sehr genossen. Die vorab bekommenen Infos waren hilfreich, der Service freundlich und alles war sehr sauber!
