This was an average hotel where a lot of workers stay. Though we thought it might be noisy because of this, it really wasn’t. The room was fine, but the carpet felt wet and the room was damp smelling. Breakfast was fine. We would stay here again for the price.

Rooms were very clean. Our door was too tight so had to push to close completely. Breakfast was ok but waffle batter to thin so it ran out when you turn it to cook. No hair dryers at all, not even available at desk.

Rude staff member. I have stayed several times with no issue this time a card on file was demanded. When i arrived i waited several minutes for the employee because she was to busy trying to get her amazon prime video to work on the lobby tv. I have stayed several times with no issue but this was a terrible experience this round horrid neglecting staff bath tub dirty towels smelled like urine just not a good experience this time.

Overall hygiene not okay

Extremely Disappointing Stay Due to Unhygienic Conditions I recently stayed at Black Gold and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. The room I was provided with was far from satisfactory in terms of cleanliness. The sheets seemed unwashed, the silverware was dirty, and to my absolute shock, there were visible fecal spots in the toilet and hair in the bathtub. Despite immediately bringing these concerns to the attention of the hotel staff, the situation was not adequately addressed during my stay. It deeply affected my comfort and made the entire experience unpleasant and unsanitary. I have attached photos as evidence of these unsanitary conditions. It's distressing to have encountered such neglect of basic cleanliness standards in a hotel of this caliber. As a frequent traveler, cleanliness is of utmost importance to me, and this stay fell well below acceptable standards. I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering accommodations at Black Gold. The lack of attention to such fundamental aspects of hospitality is unacceptable. Overall, my experience was marred by these hygiene issues, and I strongly advise the management to take immediate action to ensure that future guests do not face similar disappointments. Despite having a non refundable room for 2 nights. We left to another hotel

Room was clean, but there was a smell that couldn't be determined. Perhaps the room hadn't been used in a while. Kitchen was fully stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. All channels worked on TV.

Great place and better price than other hotels in town at the time. If you make your own food in your room this is a perfect hotel. Comes with a fully stocked kitchenette in every room.

Online it looked nice, as I'm sure it was when it was built. It's now has a very unclean feel. I was sent to a room that was clearly not cleaned. The hotel smelled of trash. The only positive was the one staff member I had contact with. She was fantastic. Unfortunately I will not be back.

Decent place to stay

Property was decent. Hotels.com stated that pet fee was $20, but front desk said it was now $40. We did talk to the manager and she only charged us the $20. Decent place to stay.
