We stayed in crown plaza in Fuzhou and it was a great experience. So we gave Tianjin crown plaza a try. That experience turned out to a huge difference in a negative way. First night checked in to a room with broken fridge and floor covered in human hair. So we had to move to another room the next morning. But the second room wasn’t any better at all. It had a damaged/cracked sink and it had a bad sewer smell in the toilet room. The odor was spreading out to whole room and it became unbearable. The area immediately around the school doesn't offer Western style hotels. This hotel is VERY comfortable with spacious rooms and a fantastic buffet breakfast. One evening we ate at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, which offered excellent foot - mapo tofu, delicious ribs, fried green beans with garlic sauce, and good wine list. Also more reasonably priced than other Crowne Plaza properties in Tianjin. One "problem" with this hotel is the lack of shops and restaurants in its more remote location.
