gorgeous resort, amazing staff!
although it's 30 mins from the city center, it was a great resort and time for relaxation! They do have boat rides (on a schedule) to get to the city center which is really convenient!

The food is over priced for what it is. Had fish and chips where the batter was soggy along with the chips. Then had the melting chocolate pudding which was over cooked as was the garlic bread. You know even the staff know it’s bad when they fail to ask you how the food is. The cocktail was nice at least.

Not worth the money
When I book I did said have a 4 years old,I payed online,when arrived at hotel,they ask for extra cost for the kid bed. Book a pool Villa end up with a apartment pool ,not a villa ,with stair all around the pool not kid friendly. Have to argue for get a pool Villa. My wife get food poison and stay in bed for the most of it. And for finishing one pair of sunglasses diseapered in the room the time we been to restaurant inside the resort. Honestly not worth the money at all.

My partner and I spent 2 wonderful days at An Lam after returning to HCMC after a 3 day cycling trip through the Mekong Delta. We arrived hot, dusty and a bit sore, but An Lam eased all of this. What a beautiful, peaceful, amazing place! From the moment of arrival, when our personal "butler" Le welcomed us directly to our room and did our check-in procedure there while we rested comfortably, from the time we reluctantly left after Le arranged our taxi to the airport, we relaxed in the luxurious surroundings. The personal plunge pool immediately outside the door to our room helped us stay cool and comfortable, the pillowy bed helped us sleep soundly, and the restaurant amply satisfied us. I hope to be back at An Lam some day, preferably soon.

I have stayed in many hotels in the world and I could say the room I stayed in is one of the best if not the best. we had a wonderful experience. the room had an unbeatable layout and well thought out design and decor. it was most relaxing and it didn't cost an arm and leg. there was total privacy in the room I was given

i enjoyed my stay at an lam retreats Saigon river. hung my butler was very helpful. the staff was very nice. the setting was very relaxing and tranquil. the food from the restaurant was tasty. a bit far for local tours to come to pick you up but was easy to arrange a mini van to get in town to meet with tour guide.

A misunderstanding in booking transfer left us waiting at the airport. Needless to say we were quite angry both with our selves and the staff we had chatted with. BUT after getting hold of the hotel hotline we decided to take a taxi to the hotel and management and staff provided top service the rest of our stay. One really nice detail was that our butler gave us a phone so we could him directly when we ventured into town with the very nice free speedboat citytransfer the hotel regularly provided during the day. The hotel has a very nice garden and is located on a quiet part of the river in the city. From our riverside pool villa we could ofcourse heat the boat traffic when they passed closed by, but we never lost a minute sleep on that account:) We talked about how funny it was that when trucks are replaced by riverbarges then suddenly heavy commercial traffic becomes an attraction in it self.

An Lam is a very special place. We arrived late at night/early in the morning, and our butler was waiting for us by the gate. When we walked onto the property, we could tell that An Lam was a very special and unique place. Our rooms faced a pool, the restaurant and the Saigon river. We dropped our bags, and took a swim in a lovely, intimate pool that had bouganvillia draping over it, waterfalls, and lovely stately palm trees. Our rooms were very spacious, well appointed, very clean and just lovely. Our butler went above and beyond for us: he answered our every need - even those we didn’t think of on our own. He arranged taxis, water taxis, and a back of the bike tour. He also provided a cell phone to us so that we could call him anytime. We stayed for 3 nights before moving o to Phu Quoc. This was our first visit to Vietnam, and we look forward to many, many more during which we plan to return to An Lam.

The hotel facilities are excellent with beautiful spa, swimming pool, and beach. Staff is really friendly, and the spa service is great. However, to enjoy this hotel you have to have a great deal of patience. The lunch and dinner service is slow, with at best a 50 minute waiting time to order and receive food. When the waiter doesn't understand something you're ordering, you'll get a friendly nod and never see your order. Room cleaning is limited to making your bed and refreshing towels. The "Do not disturb" sign gets ignored. American coffee is never readily available, taking over 30 minute to get a cup during daytime (the alternative, Vietnamese coffee, is too sweet for us). Regardless of time of the morning, the breakfast is a frustrating experience with no availability of clean tables, cutlery, glasses, cups, or coffee. The feeling of scarcity is present each day, and causes some people to truly misbehave (stealing tables, cutting queues, etc...). Overall, we dealt with it well and focused on enjoying the facilities and its great weather. It's a beach holiday, so no worries. I wish this hotel would invest few 100 USD in more glasses, cutlery, and a coffee machine.

A great place to relax with the our privacy of our own pool. Great outlook over the Saigon River. A boat ride to district 1 was a good way of seeing a different side of Ho Chi Minh City.We had our own butler which was fantastic as he organised lots of things for us. The staff we great. The hotel Operations Manager was out checking on the hotel guests each day and the staff. Well done An Lam Retreats.

The hotel was fine—service was good, amenities felt a little worn out—but the hotel was so far away from town and not in a cute area. Unfortunately, there is lots of construction around the hotel, so don’t expect the hotel to be in an undeveloped area.

Amazing little osis 20min boatride from the city
Fantasticöy beautiful place where you get tour own butler (!!!). Hung was amazing, catered to us throughout the trip and ecen babysat our 2 kids when we had spa treatments.

Excellent hotel on the river
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at An Lam Resort. Everything was just perfect from the food to the staff to our personal butler. Our room (we had a suite) was spacious with a huge bathroom and a super comfy bed. There were lots of mozzies around but there was plenty of fly spray and insect repellent provided and the bed was fully surrounded by an ample mosquito net so they weren’t a problem at all. The free speed boat shuttle to the city was also great as it is a fair way out of the city by car. No hesitation in recommending this hotel

The hotel been all suite is lovely quite and peaceful good coffee machine in the room and a lovely bathroom , Hochmin is a experience to say the least Bangkok on steroids would be a good expression, Breakfast is great . The bread is wonderful Freshly made each day , As for dinner the Asian food is sought of mock Chinese for western tastes the western food on the menu is ok but something of a cafe style and as for the portions they are massive far to big the food does come no we’re near to the standards of the rest of the hotel and staff which is a shame the kitchen can abvously Cook but just needs some direction and a general updating of the food with a touch of modernisation of it

Wonderful staff, beautiful and spacious rooms, gorgeous location on the river. A truly peaceful oasis just outside of central HCMC. Highly recommended! Only comment would be that the restaurant tries really hard but not everything on the very extensive menu is as well executed as we would have preferred.

Amazing!
We had a wonderful stay here, staff were excellent, food was amazing, room was gorgeous, spacious, high quality all-round. Although the location was out of town, the free shuttle speedboat was a fun experience and the staff organised taxis including giving us a phone to make sure we got back OK. Our butler was great. We weren't used to this so probably under used her, but whenever we stepped out of our garden she would walk with us to check if we needed anything. The staff made us feel welcome and they were happy to help us with whatever we needed,
