"FANTASTIC GYM, CLEAN HOTEL ROOMS, NICE POOL AREA"
FANTASTIC GYM - I wish more hotels would take the lead of Ramada Singapore at Zhongshan Park. It is open 24 HOURS! I came back at 2am after a business meeting and could hit the gym and look after my health - excellent stuff. The equipment is above average for a hotel of its star rating. It has a variety of equipment that you often don't see in most hotel gyms: kettlebells, heavy bag. the heaviest dumbbelss are only 20kg, but at least you can do a workout if you are innovative.
CLEAN HOTEL ROOMS - You walk into the room and immediately feel comfortable. It's clean and nice. The pillows are nice and substantial. the bedding is not cheap. The hallways are cleverly designed making you feel comfortable.
NICE POOL AREA - Good size, nice area, feels good to get away. Relatively good hours. If it stayed open 2-3 more hours it would be better.
NOISE - I was put in a room on the 5th floor (next building's airconditioners are FAR TOO NOISY), so I went to reception and politely asked to be transferred - they obliged, put me on the 17th floor [top floor] and I had a VERY pleasant stay. There is no real view, but being so high gets away from the noise.
STAFF TRAINED WELL - If they had not moved me from the 5th floor to the 17th floor my review would have been horrible, as my stay would have been horrible. So the staff are trained well to take customers' concerns seriously.

The room was incredibly comfortable with exceptional service, with a variety of facilities. The room was also modernised and made everyday tasks like opening and closing the curtains very easy and convenient.

This hotel is 3 minutes by bus (10 minutes walking) to the nearest MRT station. There is a mall and places to eat nearby. So convenient enough. Staff are helpful. Building is a bit older. Amenities and services are nothing special, but comfortable and clean enough for a short stay in an expensive city, i.e. Singapore. For the price I paid, I would probably prefer to live a bit closer to the MRT station or want better amenities.
Stayed at this hotel for two nights on my stay in Asia. Hotel was clean and offer great value. Unfortunately because I booked through Expedia I missed out on the breakfast deal. Restaurant downstairs has really good food and not bad prices. Hotel rooms and shower stall were a bit small
I stayed at room 211, it was a small room but clean. They provide hairdryer, towel, mineral water and coffee/tea/milo everyday (check the coffee/tea/milo before you take the elevator, they placed it across the elevator). The staff also very helpfuland friendly when I sstayed there. I left something in the room and came back the next day after checked out, they tried very hard to find it (even in the end, they still didn't find it). The only things that annoy me was the room wasn't soundproof, so you can hear the waterdrop when your neighbor is showering and TV sound when they're watching it.
But overall, it was nice and comfortable. Worth the price.
This suburban area in central Singapore lies within easy driving distance of the main business district to the south. The scenic boardwalk trails around the MacRitchie Reservoir offer access to one of the island’s protected forest areas, and several golf courses skirt the forest edge. Budget hotels on Balestier Road offer affordable accommodation 5 km from the glittering shops of Orchard Road.
