« We were new to the Interlochen area, as we normally stay farther north, but we loved the convenience of the location to other areas in NoMi. « This was our second stay on Bass Lake, but first in this location. We really appreciated having access to a beach and kayaks, plus the fire pit was excellent. The house has all the things you would want for a long stay, plus the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The owners were attentive and friendly, and made us feel welcome. « My wife and I had an enjoyable trip. A few comments on our stay and the reason for not giving a 5 star rating. This is admittedly some of my fault. This is a pet friendly place, not being a pet owner, I should have considered that there would be remnants of pet hair. I had to vaccum the living room furniture prior to sitting on it. « This was our 3rd time staying at the property and it was great as usual. We couldn’t ski due to the weather but had no problem finding things to do in the area. The house is large enough to fit several families and a huge bedroom downstairs for the adult kids to hang out. I must say it would be nice if the furnace was WiFi and the owners could bump up the heat prior to our arrival as it was only 58 degrees in the house but it did heat up fairly quickly and was not a big deal. « We absolutely loved the property and cabin. Very relaxing. The only negative part out of our entire weekend was the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. We tried the pullout bed even but it was still hard as a rock just like the upstairs one. We would love to come back but hopefully there will be a different mattress available. »
