The Curonian Spit (also called Neringa) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the most beautiful places in it is the Nagliai nature reserve (between Pervalka and Juodkrante), known for the “Dead Dunes”.

It shares the interesting history of the region, which is in Lithuania now, but was influenced by Teutonic Knights/Baltic Germans/East Prussians for centuries.
