"The beds were so comfortable clean and the room always had a fresh scent. I’m picky about hotel shampoos and these smelled really good, the staff was always on top of assisting without being asked. There is a lot of close nice restaurants, there’s a beautiful amazing authentic french bakery right down the walkway less than two minutes away. The other dining options were only about 5-15 minute walk as well as Chinatown, and Little Tokyo. Location of this hotel is perfect for everything."

10/10 Excellent
"What an amazing hotel in the heart of downtown LA. I can’t say enough good things about the gracious staff and beautiful art deco building. I am now a huge Proper fan. The rooftop bar and restaurant were delicious and a needed getaway from daily work. "
"Staff was awesome, helpful and welcoming. Decor was great. We worried that this would be a concept hotel, where the look matters more than the guest experience. But besides light switches that require a tutorial to operate, everything was grand."
"Beautiful hotel and well located for the metro and buses. Close to little Tokyo for good restaurants. No hidden fees and safe. The rooms are very cool compared to more traditional hotels like Hilton and Marriott. "
