Although our building was older, it was a joy to walk on real wood floors and to sit on the back balcony. Comfortable lounging area on the grass underneath trees and a clean beach. A small playground and an assortment of sand toys for small children. Breakfast was better than most including both Thai and Western options (including eggs to order). There a numerous restaurants nearby so driving becomes an option rather than a necessity (my Thai wife made a significant dent in the crustacean population in the seafood grill a ten minute walk away. Believe there were bicycles for rent or possibly gratis - we did not avail ourselves. The 'street-side' had some nice landscaping but we mostly just transited.
