« We were surprised and a little unnerved about the rattle snake habitat next to house. But all was good never seen a snake. Beach is A few steps away. My husband enjoyed watching big ships coming . Need some dishes to be able warm things in microwave. Smaller skillet needs replaced. But other than that kitchen was efficient. The doors to bedrooms stick. The one door is hard to shut.Furniture ok. The Queen bed is really soft you sink in the middle. No air in bedroom but there is a fan. »

« We enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of things to improve. The couch was not very comfortable. I would suggest a newer more comfy one to enjoy TV watching. Also, the thermostat was very confusing and difficult to operate. Otherwise it was great. Bedrooms were roomy and the bed was super comfortable. Backyard space was quiet and quite large. Decor was homey and inviting. Location made it easy to enjoy Galveston Home Tour. »

« This was our first time to Port A. The stay was a great experience, it almost lost a star, because of the Sparta condition of the property. No way to rinse your mouth in the bathroom, one hand towel for 2 people in the bathrooms, there were no games or decks of cards as listed and the weather was damp a lot causing a need to stay in. The pool needed some attention to make it a plus for the property. The elevator was a real plus for older folks and moving provisions to the second floor kitchen....

« Beautiful home with quick easy access to the beach. Not too far from center of seawall action about a 10 -15 min drive. Lots of steps so not ideal for elderly or disabled people. Lots of dishes and glasses. Many items to bake with but only one large pan and one small pan for stovetop cooking. A couple of pots. Absolutely love all the bathrooms. The rooms are extremely nice. The balaconies are great for sitting outside and you have a decent view of the water. Will love to return if we have...
