Enjoy the bustling market town of Tewkesbury by day, exquisite waterside walks by noon and theatre shows by night. Take a leisurely meander of the market town, weave in and out of the Tudor buildings and visit farmers markets, antique shops and tea rooms. Pick up a small aperitif and step aboard a river cruise (season permitting) before catching a matinee at the Roses Theatre. If historic splendour is on the agenda, Tewkesbury is home to a 12th-century abbey, adorned with one of the highest Norman towers in the country, and the largest medieval re-enactment festival in Europe in July. Just a short drive to the other side of town you will find Croft Farm, where you can spend the days on the lake, sailing, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. There is even a selection of peddalows for the younger ones. The café at Croft farm is dog friendly too, so no need to leave the pooch at home. Beyond Tewkesbury you will find the famous Cotswolds and a day out in Chipping Campden is a must.
