Royal garden villas feels like the height of luxury. The appearance, the facilities, the way the staff treat you, you are made to feel like a VIP. The hotel is in a beautiful location, the views out over the mountains is stunning, and at night being able to see all the towns all lit up is incredible. We stayed in the dutchess villa and it was excellent. Our villa garden had two sun loungers, a two person day bed, a pool, and room to move the sun loungers around. We had proper sun in our garden from around 9am to about 5pm, which was perfect. The main pool is also stunning and was never really busy during our stay, so was nice to go in there too.
We stayed with breakfast as part of our trip, breakfast was very nice, with a good selectionof hot and cold food, including a table of sweet things like muffins and doughnuts. The staff in the restaurant were excellent, really friendly and always seemed happy to see you. Breakfast is served downstairs in the restaurant, and the restaurant is again absolutely stunning, feels like something from a Palace.
We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, we have fairly simple tastes and the restaurant menu seemed a bit beyond our tastes, however the room service menu which is available most of the day (and at the main pool) had lots of great options, with the spaghetti bolognese being my favourite on the menu.
A 20 minute walk down to the town and a 5 euro taxi back to the hotel were absolutely fine too. Would 100% recommend this hotel
