A centrally situated hotel with character. Two negatives, beds by pool could not be adjusted and the breakfast quality could do with improving. However we would stay there again. Good value for money

Really liked hotel very clean and comfortable but food let it down food was cold bad service had to wait about 15min to get more bacon and eggs for breakfast toaster not working properly evening meal was bad nearly every thing swimming in oil cheap bad food it's a pity because the hotel has everything going for it except the food and the service I would stay again but bed only What a shame such a lovely old hotel with charm and history but unfortunately bad food and service This hotel needs to get their act together and serve better food maybe different management Here's hoping!!!!

Lovely quaint hotel in an ideal location by the old port. Would definitely stop there again. Take your own toiletries as they only provide small sachets (shampoo and shower gel)

Perfect Stay and Location...
Fantastic experience. Hotel had a lot of character, and amazing breakfast and dinner. Amazing location in the center of the old town of Puerto de la Cruz. I am so glad Hotel BotanicoOriental Spa & Garden didn't have availability. I spent two days at the 5 Star Botanico, then a week at Hotel Marquesa. I am giving Marquesa a perfect score, because they did many things above their star rating.

Well located hotel with character
The hotel has great character and is based in a really good location with an abundance of bars and restaurants close by. The rooms were spacious but were a little warm due to the time of the year and no air conditioning. The bed was comfortable. We had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel. They had a large range of choices in a buffet style and represented good value for money. We also had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant in front of the hotel one evening. A wonderful German band was playing The rooftop pool is nice and refreshing after a long day of walking around. The only slight problem we had was finding free parking. We eventually found something around 15 mins walk away. We just decided to park up there each day. It was up the hill so was a good workout. Paid parking is available closer to the hotel. If anyone is looking for a quick 20 minute COVID test for flying, we used Eurofins megalab which is a short walk from the hotel. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Lovely historic hotel. The man on reception was very friendly and informative. Very clean, Good selection buffet breakfast and fried eggs cooked to order. Lovely views from rooftop pool.

Do not be fooled by the patio restaurant at the front, enter the hotel to a magnificent adventure in Spanish heritage and history with the age and architecture. Much bigger than it appears from the street and includes an adjacent newer building with a rooftop swimming pool and lounge chairs. Larger rooms, a breakfast with options and outstanding staff makes this top of the three stars, all with a fantastic central location that is a few footsteps from everything. Ask for Jose to experience a personal welcome and attention.

Pleasant hotel in good location.
Pleasant hotel in the heart of puerto de la cruz. Rooms are basic but spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s ok.
The place is a little tired. Told off for taking a coffee from breakfast room to our room made us feel it’s run for the staffs benefit rather than the guests. Old management set in their ways I guess. Breakfast not great. It would be better to have a choice to include in booking or not.

Excellent location & lovely old building. Breakfast was super with lots of choice including fried eggs, bacon, sausages & baked beans, however take your own jam or marmalade as the sugar-free jams there were tasteless. There was an evening buffet at 7pm (8.50 euros a head) but we didn't try it. No kettle or fridge in the room but comfy beds & good towels but bathroom toiletries could be better. Would definitely stay here again & will recommend to friends.

Lovely old hotel in pedestrian zone. Live music in pavement restaurant every evening. Plenty of good local restaurants & excellent buses to other parts of the island. Gave 4 stars as bath water not really hot. Also they could do with a second coffee machine in the big restaurant to avoid queues at breakfast.

The worst mattress I have slept on since summer camp 30 years ago! There is not much between you and the springs: turn over and one feels a spring coil in the cheek bone, shoulder, ribs, knee, etc., causing the need to adjust due to uncomfortable pressure points on one's body. I highly recommend the hotel upgrade the mattresses as the current ones in use are more appropriate for a flop house.

Like 1970's Bulgarian hotel. Terrible.
Paid €45 Inc breakfast & we still feel ripped off. Nice reception area but frankly everything else is souless. Nice room pictures but rooms don't resemble the pictures in anyway. WiFi up to 1970 Bulgarian standard. Breakfast ditto.

2 day stay..
2 day stay in this historic building, centrally located so a great location for bars food etc. Pool on the roof with great views of the sea, mount Teide and surrounding town. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice.. Would definitely stay again.

Good for the price but don't expect the Ritz
Booked for Xmas and New year holidays which on our booking price included gala meals. The hotel tried to charge for these on arrival and latter when collecting tickets but when we provided information on booking the extra charges were waved. Getting back to the hotel it is a lovely building with much Spanish charm the roof terrace and pool it is small but adiquet for size of hotel. Our room was basic with no balcony which was a bit or a let down and bathroom floors need deep cleaning around shower base to floor.. I did request a double bed via email to hotel but this was not provided so just 2 single beds. The resturant is a bit of a hit and miss some good quality produce let down and ruined buy old equipment the hot unit only heats from below so food unless covered goes cold but covers very rarely used. Another option is to use halogen in replacement to strip light bulbs used. Good breakfast choice and fresh eggs I would of liked to see more fresh fruit prepped for yogurt. Evening meals too much pork not enough green vegetables and need a little more variety. Why is there never any butter with the bread? Drinks in resturant good selection and good price. On the whole this was a great holiday and a lovely hotel in a great location but just a few improvements would make it an even better place to stay. The staff are a good team and are all very friendly we would like to give all of them a big Thankyou for all their hard work over Christmas and New year.

Beautiful traditional hotel in a perfect location
Traditional hotel In the centre of Puerto de la Cruz, in a quiet/pedestrian area surrounded by cafes, little shops and Spanish restaurants. Pwrfwct location close to a church and little garden 1 minute from the main square and 5 mins to the sea. Garfen beach is 10 mins walj away. Free parking is 10 mins walk away - Hotel reception can direct you there as its a one way system. Beautiful flamenco guitar and harpist play outside every night. Staff are very friendly and helpful including reception and chamber maids. Honestly I don't know what any negative reviews are talking about, our air conditioning worked fine, perhaps we were put in a good room at a quiet time of year and at the back of th3 hotel. The pool is nice and roof views lovely. I could make negative comments but I won't because the price was good and to be honest I got more than I expected. Then only bad thing about the whole experience was expedia dodgy call centre who hang up on you or put you through to America.

Pleasant hotel with awesome location!
Hotel is very pleasant & nice, staff is amisble & helpful. Rooms are clean, great view on tgecityfrom roop top pool. Close to the folliwing tourists spots: - 5 minutes walk to Lago Martianez beach -15 minutes walk to Playa de Jardin beach -20 minutes walk to Loro parque -15 minutes walk to surfers spot & school La Marea Breakfast buffet was variable (veggies, fruits, yougurts, omlets, etc) Dozens of restraunts & cafes nearby.

Nice view from our room. All the facilities where clean and up to an acceptable standard. My only problem was that we had a double bed in our room, but it was really just 2 singles pushed together, and where not the most comfortable at that.

Stayed here for two weeks and loved our time. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast felt a little limited at times but evening meals (buffet) were always great with many options served up. Quiet atmosphere and good pool on the top floor with a few sun loungers. We had a recurring problem of a strange noise through the night but were offered a room swap whilst they tried to fix the problem.

Basic Antique Hotel
Old Hotel in the centre of Puerto. Ideal location for plaza, harbour and San Telmo. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Waitress in the dining room speaks when she feels like it! Food, well... to be desired.... Plenty of great restaurant's and snack bars close by. This is a Very old and basis hotel but the rooms are very clean.

Good easy Check In. Very welcoming on arrival. Excellent Staff, kept very clean. Views to the mountains and small plaza. The Church clock chimed every 15 minutes and every hour, but got used to it after a while, it does not chime from 11pm to 7am.
