I informed a member of staff , who went and looked at the room she agreed about the carpet but said she thought the bedding had been changed. I said I am sorry if you had to vacuum she said , no I don’t know where they keep it ! well obviously the cleaner doesn’t either . All I can say was the bathroom was clean enough, and the evening meal we had was good . We stayed at the Fountain for two nights. Our accommodation was spacious with a comfortable bed and very efficient ensuite shower. It was good value for money. Rooms are in a separate block behind the pub, with parking close to the rooms and seats in the open area. We liked the fact that The Fountain is a "proper" traditional pub with no TV screens or loud music and customers are requested to keep laptops and phones in quiet mode. The beer was well-kept, the menu offered a good range of food and our choices were tasty and well-cooked. Great location, cosy pub & restaurant, with good food. Evening meal & breakfast good, service a bit slow at breakfast. Very clean & tidy. Room was very noisy on arrival, as chlldren's bouncing castle was situated directly outside the bedroom window. Screaming kids plus the noise of the motor. There was a large & lovely beer garden, so why put the play area adjacent to bedroom block? Quietened-down by 8 30pm. Our mattress was filthy. Bedding was from the seventies, pillows tatty. Was not comfortable stopping in the room. The pub part of the Inn was good and food excellent. We enjoyed a good stay at the hotel. It was well situated for our trip to Malvern Spring Flower Show. The staff were lovely and the food was good pub food. We particularly enjoyed the steak night which was excellent. Breakfasts were tailored to us individually, were well cooked and good sized portions.
