Built on our farm in 2005\. Located less than 30 minutes from Historic Town of Onancock, Assateague Beach, Chincoteague & NASA at Wallops Island. The cabin has a small kitchen, a loft with 3 full size beds, heating, air conditioning & a fireplace. It also has a pool table & dart board. Bring a boat there is a private boat ramp & dock going into Holdens Creek which leads out to the Chesapeake Bay. Needed a quiet, safe, pleasant place for 2 older ladies and a dog for a couple days, and this could not have been more perfect. Thoughtful, lovely planting around a capacious cabin, much time was spent outdoors just being there. Feeling of absolute peaceful privacy, calm and lovely. The long stretch of actively farmed fields on one side, the endlessly changing light on a diverse marsh on the other, very Eastern Shore. Obviously a cabin celebrating hunting, during the various seasons, would be cozy and welcoming. Things to know: the kitchen while absolutely complete, is also tiny. The bathroom is spacious and spotlessly clean, upstairs, possibly tricky for oldsters. Die Küche ist etwas zu klein aber es ist fast alles machbar. Die Einrichtung ist schön aber hier und da könnte mal was ausgetauscht werden oder alte Sachen aus den Schränken entsorgt werden. Die Ansprüche an Sauberkeit sollten nicht zu hoch sein in so einer Waldhütte aber ab und an dürften alle Möbel mal weggerückt werden und eine Grundreinigung gemacht werden. Uns hat es trotzdem gefallen vor allem auch der Billardtisch. The only down side is there is not a lot to do around the area. After we saw Chincoteague island and the ponies, the NASA Museum at Wallops Island, Makemie Park (not a big deal and way too many bugs around there), the KOA Campground nearby, the town of Saxis, and the Great Machipongo Clam Shack (about an hour down the road). It was a bit too quiet for us. Then, we got a call that we needed to come home for a family matter. Checking out was very easy and no hassles. We had issue with no hot water when we arrived, after contacting the property manager we had a resolution in the hour. On our second day arriving back from our outings the temperature in the cabin was hotter than outside and was uncomfortable. I contacted the property manager and he let me know he would have it looked at around 2 hour later we had the ac fixed and it dropped to a comfortable temperature. It was a wonderful place to stay even when the issue popped up they were resolved promptly. Definitely a top choice for staying in the area. ##### Joshua R. Rented this awesome cabin to spend Valentines Day with spouse and friends. The cabin was more than we expected. There’s a cute bar area, tons of comfortable seating, gas fireplace, cool decorations including antique items, beautiful property, and much more. There was lots of essentials already there so we only brought food. The pool table and dart board gave us plenty to do in addition to the tvs both in living room and bedroom. The host answered all my questions in a timely manner and I had a lot. Everything was ready when we got there and we would definitely come back again. Just one note to potential visitors. The steps to the loft where beds and bathroom is located are a little intimidating if afraid of heights, or allowing a small child to walk/crawl up them. It also got quite warm upstairs but the host had signs to assist in resolving this issue. There is a house that you can see from cabin but nobody bothered us. The kitchen is very small but has everything you need to cook, wash dishes and some prep work but the fridge is full size with ice maker.Thanks Karen for being super patient and allowing us to share this cabin with you! ##### Margaret C.
