This rustic mountain cabin is nestled in the SE corner of TN between GA and NC with a backyard filled with hundreds of miles of recreation. The Ole Bear is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway, family vacation, or an adventure filled weekend. Good size kitchen and comfy areas to sit and relax inside and outside. Nice deck space for warmer months. I would call this remote but it depends on where you plan to sight see or just chill out. Short road to cabin had a little loose gravely spots but if you just get going on the paved area it was no problem. We are not used to mountain roads so it would be easy for most. Owner came by to check on us he was very friendly. This was our first time in this area, there were several water falls around and the Cherohala skyway was a short dive away. We brought food in but stores and restaurants are not super close but 20 to 40 minutes puts you at Tellico or McCaysville . I guess that's close considering being so secluded. ##### Angela F. We arrived very late (\~0230am) am after a late flight to find the cabin very welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed the setting and the homey feel. Cabin was convenient to our retirement land, and not too far out of town. I hope the dates for our next visit are open, because we'll likely be repeat guests. ##### Larry S.
