Our TV didn't work. It was all fuzzy. The sink was leaking onto the floor. Had to put our ice bucket under it. The room hadn't been used for months they told us and when I turned on the faucet dirt kept coming out of it. BUT the worse thing was we had no internet. But the staff had internet. So I'm guessing they jut don't have the guest internet hooked up. They said they called Comcast days ago. It was a huge inconvenience not having any internet!! That is something I am paying for in my cost for the room. I find that very frustrating.

A friend and I traveled from the East Coast to view the April 2024 solar eclipse, and we stayed here two nights. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews, because our experience was outstanding. The property was neat, clean, and quiet (for the most part). Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very polite. We had plenty of water pressure, hot water, and clean towels. The "breakfast" is really just self-serve snacks, but tasty and adequate. The only problem we had was a small dog that yapped continuously for over an hour on the night we arrived. When we called the front desk to complain we were told that they couldn't do anything about it. (?!) Fortunately, the dog's owners finally returned to their room and quiet returned to the hotel. No more problems the rest of our stay. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if returning to the area.

The check in person was obviously under the influence of sometimes. She rented the same rooms to several different people. Our room door was opened, with the key, 4 different times during the night. We absolutely had to use the chain on the door. We had a total of seven rooms for the evening and the same thing happened to several others in our group. We won't use this facility again.

When we receive an accusation of this nature, it is addressed promptly and takin very seriously. After thoroughly watching the video footage of your stay, this is what occurred during your stay. Your family had 7 rooms in house all under the same name. When a guest in one of your rooms came down to get a key, they told the front desk the wrong room number. My front desk verified the name in the room every time, however the guest in your party had no idea what room they were in, therefore, it left the front desk fluttered and almost unable to help. My advice, when you stay in large groups under the same name, have a sign in sheet, therefore the front desk can help the guest when they do not remember their room number.

Stink Bugs, lights flickered not friendly
There was stink bugs inside the hotel everywhere. Lights would go dim when the fridge kicked on. Bathroom lights flickered constantly the remote to the TV wasn't the right remote and it didn't work correctly. Receptionist when I checked in and checked out was just not friendly. Wasn't necessary rude but not friendly and when I complained when I checked out she didn't act like she cared. Don't recommend

Hey William! Thank you so much for your feedback! I know those pesky stink bugs are a nuisance. We have done everything we can think of to get them to leave however this time of year, they do find their way into the back stair wells! We do hope you did enjoy our hot waffles and quiet atmosphere :)

This hotel needs an update bad. A few things: the sink had no plug. The back entrance to the hotel had a broken keypad so anyone could enter. The breakfast was pretty bad. Like why even have it? Of course there are very few options in Tell City for hotels that take dogs. That is why we stayed. One good thing. The room was large and roomy.

It was mostly quiet even tho it was pretty full access to surrounding places for food and accessories really nice. What wasn't good is lost cable but it was due to the storm that came threw and breakfast could been little bit better was out of stuff but nevertheless I will return

Not a smoke free establishment
The room we reserved was supposed to be non smoking.(the entire hotel is supposed to be non smoking) , once we opened the room door we were hit by a wall of smoke smell. They had no other rooms to put us in. After a long fat, 10pm at night we had nowhere to go and all nearby hotels were full. Housekeeping either hadn’t serviced the room or knew about the smoking and didn’t report it or the hotel management thought we would just live with it since we had no other options.

Never again. So unclean!!!!
We booked our stay because it said it was 15 miles from Holiday World, but it was really 30 miles. The pics showed a few exercise equipment coule be used while staying, but there was literally only 2 treadmills & an exercise bike -like machine. The pool isnt as big as the picture shows it, and gets very crowded with just a few people in it. I could overlook all this IF the room wasnt so nasty. The bedsheets had, what looked like taco sauce stains, on it. They didnt even bother changing the sheets....how do I know this? Becuase my 5 yr old daughter had her Encanto toysin the floor and one was missing. I got on my hands and knees to help her look under the table and beds for her toys, and wouldn't you know it? There was a taco bell wrapper just under the sheets, open MILD taco sauce packets, an elf vape pen and A PILL. Cut open and white powder spilled out. I can't tell you how disgusted and pissed i was, when I seen all this. Never again will I go there, and I hope my story steers those away from there as well.

First of all for the price around the Louisville area, it was a deal. It was clean enough, but there were some small issues that the owner needs to address. All the mirrors were dirty, there were things like the toilet paper roll and some other miscellaneous items that really should be replaced. The main thing was there was no elevator. We are both seniors and had to haul out luggage up the stairs. A young man at the desk shrugged when we originally asked where the elevator was. On my second trip where I had items light weight, he asked. Also, in the AM we ran out of toilet paper and could not find one. The woman at the desk was angry that we asked if they could bring some upstairs. She actually was nasty when my friend said we were both in our pajamas. She probably didn't want to climb the stairs either. Other staff were friendly.

The property was less than clean. The bottoms of our feet were black after walking across the floor. Our bathtub was nasty. One of our washcloths had the whole middle ripped out. There was a terrible musty smell throughout the whole hotel

Hotel looks to be recently renovated. One of our beds had a spot that felt like springs had broken so there was a dip in the bed. The shower was odd. Turning it to hot left the water cold, but cold made it hot? Luckily we were only staying one night, I couldn’t imagine staying longer.

Staff has been friendly and accommodating for all of my stays here recently. Only complaint I have is that sometimes the hot water does not work. Rooms have been clean and comfortable.
