We got there just as the sun was about to go behind the mountains so I was glad that I could capture what was left of the light on those snow-capped peaks. The giant mountain there is Mt Wakefield and just to the left of it is Mt Cook, nearly fully covered by those stubborn clouds. This place is unbelievably great. We were 23 people, including three one-year-olds and one 82-year-old, and everything in between split between two houses. Our other reservation got cancelled due to the owner selling the property and Lucas and Allyson saved the family Christmas!Everything was clean. Communication was excellent. We can not say enough about how good our stay was.
