It was an easy trek and the view was phenomenal. We got there just as the sun was about to go behind the mountains so I was glad that I could capture what was left of the light on those snow-capped peaks. The giant mountain there is Mt Wakefield and just to the left of it is Mt Cook, nearly fully covered by those stubborn clouds. The beds were firm but comfortable and made up with commercially laundered linen. The lounge furniture was very comfortable. Reasonably equipped kitchen. More information on how to work the tv system would have been handy. An easy walk to the lake front but far enough away from hustle and bustle of town centre.
