This apartment is located at the rear of the building and has a view of a garden. During the summer months, the ferryboat to the beach at Ilha de Tavira leaves from the quayside in Tavira town, around 100m from the apartment. At other times of the year, the boat leaves from Quatro Aguas which is around 1km further along the river. There are several other blue flag beaches and golf courses within a few minutes drive. The apartment is extremely conveniently located for both the beach and the town. The riverfront restaurants are close at hand and the Old Market and Roman Bridge are only a couple of minutes walk away. You can spend hours strolling the charming cobblestone streets of this lovely old town with its many restaurants, shops, bars and terraces to enjoy a refreshment in the sun. This beautiful manor house dates from the early 19th century and has been tastefully renovated to high specifications, using natural materials and retaining historical features - such as the traditional Tavira roofs and windows with interior shutters, as well as thick walls which keep the property warm in winter and cool in summer. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with a combination of antique and contemporary furniture. It is an excellent base for either a summer or winter break. You reach the ferry and shops and the typical small houses very easily. The bathroom has a good shower. The balcony goes to the closed court with white walls and the pool. The pool is for another apartment and you hear the pump during the day. The sleeping room has a comfortable double bed with sunshine in the morning. The kitchen has all necessary things. Ein idealer Standort, um sowohl die Altstadt als auch die schönen Strände auf der Ihla de Tavira zu erkunden, der Fähranleger ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr sauber, fast alles Nötige für einen schönen Aufenthalt ist vorhanden, einschließlich einer Mappe mit allen wichtigen Informationen und zahlreichen praktischen Tipps zu Sehenswertem, zum Einkaufen etc. Wünschenswert wären ausreichend Toilettenpapier, Küchenpapier, Spülmittel und Lappen - hier haben wir dazu gekauft. I was looking for a clean and well maintained property near the centre of Tavira with an outlook over the river. The description of the apartment reads ' the apartment is the perfect place to sit and watch the activity on the quayside ', This however does not apply to apartment 112 which we were allocated and which only has views of a courtyard and a swimming pool, which is for the sole use of the occupants of the ground floor flat. I have no doubt that the other apartments in the building have a river view as described but we were not as fortunate in this regard and on that basis I would not have made this booking. This is my only complaint regarding this property. I would strongly suggest that the owner/management company reconsider the wording of the property description as regards this particular apartment (112) and the outlook from same. Property is clean and tidy, allyou would need is there.
