Everyone was very pleasant and the environment was tranquil and pristine....until the bats made their presence known. There were no less than 300-400 bats in the trees on the property. It wasn't terrible because they are nocturnal and just stayed in the trees. However, if you have a fear of bats I would advise against staying here. The food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable. Very convenient location. The concierge set up everything for us, from diving to hiking to meals. Artificial Intelligent agents should not be a continued first point of contact when the conditions of the travel experience is DANGEROUS! My family arrived to a hotel that was infested with disease infested bats. We booked for 5 nights and left after one. I started a conversation with Expedia the first night and still a refund has not been issued. The Expedia staff has been inconsistent and most agents (especially Ayush B.) were unfriendly and unapologetic. My families safety is a priority and Expedia has a responsibility to NOT put its customers in DANGER. Issue me my refund and take on the hotel directly. The new room's bathroom ceiling was full of mildew, suggesting a lack of cleanliness and maintenance across multiple rooms. 4\.
