A couple of good restaurants are within walking distance, as well as snorkeling tours, boat rentals/charters, kayak tours and jet ski tours. We saw lots of sea life swim down the canal- tarpon, nurse sharks, variety of fish, dolphins and manatees. Can fish right from the dock too! ##### Kristy C. House is conveniently located 1-2 blocks right off US HWY 1\. At the end of the street in hwy 1 is a great outdoor restaurant Lido 73…great food and atmosphere. A strip mall with a Win Dixie and a great breakfast spot “Over Easy” is about a 1/4 mile down the road. We went to Key West which is a 2 hour beautiful drive. We also went to Everglades City which is also about 2 hours away. The house is great. The back yard was a great hang out area …..I think our kids enjoyed the pool more than anything in the Keys….we’re in the Everglades hanging out with alligators and they just want to go home and swim …Located on a canal …..We found tarpon every night. A nurse shark swam by ….and one night 2 manatees swam by…..great spot to have a drink and see what swims by There are 4 clean rooms. Our master bedroom was comfortable. The mattress and pillows were comfy …I slept well. The in suite shower could use a little more pressure ….other than that no problems. The kitchen had everything we needed ##### john b.
