This is probably one of the worst hotels with a high star rating. It is dirty, very old, smells like urine and I’ve never stayed in old bedding before. It was unbelievably bad and a true ‘con’.. Do not stay here

The location was amazing! Within a couple blocks you have the harbor or the beachfront; a few blocks down is a lovely park, lots of restaurants and shopping. Mt Maunganui hot pools and the mountain itself are right on your doorstep. Our room was large, great balcony, bathroom, and kitchen. I found that the front desk is not always manned, which is sometimes inconvenient. The drain in the shower was also a bit slow.

Really nice stay, nice big apartment. Easy checkin, great location for walking to beach, down to food spots or into town. Few things that could make it better - towels are worn and not fluffy, could do with a upgrade, curtains were light and not blockout so street lights and lights from other buildings made it harder to sleep.
