This centrally located “Home away from Home” is ideal for couples, friends, or family getaways. Situated in the exclusive Bird Area, Tui Lodge is just a short walk from town and the main lakefront, putting the best of Taupo right at your doorstep.  
  
The modern, well-appointed kitchen at Tui Lodge is the heart of the home, featuring everything needed for entertaining. It opens via French doors to a private courtyard with a Weber BBQ, perfect for summer gatherings and pre-dinner drinks.  
  
The lodge offers two indoor lounge areas: one casual space off the kitchen with a TV, Netflix, and Freeview, and a more formal dining room with a cozy corner for reading and wine.  
  
Choose between casual dining at the kitchen bar for 4 or a formal meal at the large table for 6\. The home includes 2 queen bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms, a modern bathroom with a large shower and toilet, and a second separate toilet.  
  
Kitchen basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, and oil are provided, along with quality linen, towels, blankets, pillows, and shower soaps. A washing machine is also available for guest use.  
  
Guests have exclusive use of Tui Lodge. A key is available via lockbox from 3pm.  
  
I am available throughout your stay for any queries. I prefer contact via the Airbnb app or mobile.  
  
The Bird Area is just a short walk from the CBD, lakefront, and Sunday market. A nearby shopping center includes a butcher, dairy, and cafe. The town center and supermarkets are only a 2-minute drive away. Taupo has something for everyone—golf, romance, adventure, sports, music events, and more.  
  
Taupo is a fantastic spot in the heart of New Zealand\`s North Island, known for its breathtaking scenery and endless outdoor fun. Sitting on the edge of Lake Taupo, the country’s biggest lake, it’s a perfect place for both relaxation and adventure.  
  
The lake itself is a major highlight. Whether you\`re into tranquil boat rides, kayaking, or thrilling water sports, there\`s something for everyone. It’s also a prime fishing spot, famous for its rainbow and brown trout. Plus, the lakefront is great for walking or biking, letting you soak up those gorgeous views.  
  
Taupo is also surrounded by some incredible natural wonders. The area is part of the Taupo Volcanic Zone, which means you’ve got bubbling hot springs, mud pools, and geysers all around. Check out the Wairakei Terraces or Orakei Korako for a unique geothermal experience. A dip in the hot springs is a perfect way to unwind.  
  
For the adventure seekers, Taupo has you covered. It\`s the gateway to Tongariro National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site with amazing hiking opportunities.
