"Nicely remodeled and comfortable. They need new photos on hotels.com to show how nice it looks after the renovation! I was shocked as it was much nicer than what I thought I’d be getting. Pleasant surprise. Also it’s smack dab in the center of town, so it’s close to everything!"

"I had a very pleasant stay at the Taos Inn. It’s close to everything and carries the old charm you just don’t find in cookie-cutter rooms. The character of the inn is a true plus. A meal at Doc Martin’s is a must, and don’t miss a late patio visit with a cocktail while people-watching the patrons of Taos. The Taos Inn is now a must-stay on my return trips."

"Excellent service. Design of rooms was very attractive, not something you’d expect from a motel. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful. People setting out and maintaining breakfast were very friendly and solicitous. Beautiful grounds."

"The La Fonda is a beautiful old hotel. Paying for parking in the rear was so worth it. We came and left frequently, going to historical sites and Taos Pueblo. We were able to sample some local cuisine in the hotel restaurant and the owner was very informative, telling us about the history of his people and the foods they prepare(d). There is an area for games or quiet time. There was a festival on the square Saturday afternoon and evening which made us appreciate the location even more. We had a 2 room suite with a Murphy bed in the first room and a king in the bedroom. We lit our gas fireplace for a few minutes for ambiance one evening before bed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"The spaciousness of the room, coupled with the Old Spain decor appealed to us. My only complaint: the bathtub need skids to make it less slippery."
