Wonderful Historical Building

Posted 13-Oct-2017
Pros: Wonderful historical building and beautiful grounds.
Cons: The building is old and needs to be rehabbed.
The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast was extraordinary. For those who believe in such things, the property had great energy.

Cons: Would have been nice to have some choices for breakfast.
Location: Taos is a fun little town for a day of shopping. Beautiful scenery just east of town in the mountains
A bit out of town but not too far (about a mile). Nice staff, rustic inn, but very tasteful. Limited breakfast. Comfortable room without frills.

A little off the beaten path/but beautiful

Posted 5-Sep-2017
Pros: Beautiful grounds and area, neatly tucked into a rural neighborhood with livestock and awesome mountain views.
Cons: Signage, particularly at night. Finding this location can be a bit frustrating.
Location: Taos is walkable (1.5-2 miles), or there is free public parking just before you get to town that makes this a great spot to visit Taos from.
Our stay started out shaky as we had a difficult time finding the place after arriving at night. That said, once we got settled it is in a very quiet area and we woke up to find a beautiful location. The hotel isn't anything over the top fancy but everything is clean and everything worked. This is more like a large bed and breakfast than a resort, so expectations should be tempered accordingly. It really is in a beautiful location that feels like a weekend in the country, but with the old town center of Taos only a mile and a half down the road.

Thank you for staying with us! We are just a tad off the beaten path. We're sorry our signage at night was not the best, we will look into making that brighter for our future guests. We hope you enjoyed your stay and I hope we made you feel as much at home as possible! We hope you come back to stay with us for on your next trip to Taos. Thank You

Historic calming hotel

Posted 19-Aug-2017
Cons: The screen doors of the rooms
The San Geronimo is my favorite place to stay in Taos. It represents Taos and SW history in so many ways. Integral to the history have been the additions that Pam and Charles added during their sojourn as owners. The meditation trail and the Labrynth are so welcoming. It offers a means of reflection and calm during one's busy lives and is so special when you are in Taos as a visitor, tourist on business person.

Great comfortable and welcoming hotel. Spent only one night on this occasion but will not hesitate to book again in the future.

beautiful nights, no light pollution!

Located on the edge of town, yet very convenient. They did all they could to make our stay lovely. The lodge is really, really old and I believe is an historic landmark. I will most certainly be back. Food was great, having a full breakfast each morning.

Not too happy

It was hard to find. It was in a bad area. Fountain didn't work. Yard was dirty and dead. Room had no air conditioning. In Taos. In July. One window, no circulation.
