This charming Pueblo-style home is one of El Prado's hidden gems, ideal for couples seeking a peaceful escape or small families looking for a comfortable home base in Taos. With stunning mountain views, quick access to the ski slopes, and fabulous local shopping a short drive away, this is the perfect place to settle in and explore the magic of Northern New Mexico.  
  
You’ll find covered parking for one vehicle under the carport, with additional parking available on the gravel driveway. The iconic turquoise front door is equipped with a WiFi-enabled smart lock for easy, stress-free check-in (and just in case, a backup key is always available in a secure lockbox).  
  
Living Room:  
  
Bright, cozy, and welcoming, the living room is made for relaxing and reconnecting. A classic New Mexico wood viga ceiling and stained concrete floors set the tone, while comfortable seating and plenty of board games invite long, easy evenings together.  
  
Prefer a movie night? A new smart TV is ready for you — just BYOL (bring your own logins) and stream your favorites.  
  
Primary Bedroom:  
  
The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed with premium linens, just perfect for restful nights after days spent adventuring. A nightstand with reading light, a small closet and a dresser complete the space.  
  
A dedicated, laptop-friendly workspace with a modern desk, comfortable chair, and fast fiber WiFi makes working remotely easy if you need it. The ensuite bathroom offers a spacious, fully tiled shower and tiled vanity.   
  
We provide complimentary, eco-friendly Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion, along with plush, extra-large Vidori towels from Standard Linen.  
  
A Pack ’n Play (with mattress and sheets) is available for little travelers.  
  
Second Bedroom:  
  
The second bedroom includes a queen-sized memory foam mattress, a bedside table with reading light, and a small closet. An exterior door opens to the fully fenced backyard, making this room especially convenient for guests traveling with pets.  
  
Second Bathroom:  
  
Located at the end of the hall, the second bathroom has a single vanity with tile counter and tub/shower combo with beautiful tile surround.  
  
Like the primary bathroom, the second bathroom is stocked with complimentary bath essentials from Public Goods and extra-large Vidori towels from Standard Linen.  
  
Next to the second bathroom is a stacked washer and dryer available for guest use.   
  
Kitchen:  
  
The open living space extends to a cozy but equipped kitchen, perfect for those date night meals. Fellow cooks will find a thoughtful selection of cookware and stylish dinnerware. If you’re not enjoying one of Taos’ delicious restaurants, you’ll have a great set up for a home cooked meal.   
  
Basic oils and spices are provided. We also stock bamboo dishes for kids and dog bowls for our furry family members.

The dining room has a charming table that accommodates (2) two.   
  
Backyard:  
  
Step through the turquoise gate and into the flagstone patio you’ve been dreaming of. Bistro lights over the dining furniture set the mood for relaxed, al fresco evenings. Just beyond the fence, the brand-new hot tub offers breathtaking mountain views and unforgettable stargazing beneath Taos’ famously dark skies.  
  
A beautiful chiminea with four comfy Adirondack chairs provide a great place to relax, reconnect enjoy the peaceful desert evenings.

While we employ a preventative pest control service, the property is surrounded by natural sagebrush that many critters call home, including rodents, snakes, and coyotes.   
  
Like many homes in northern New Mexico, we enjoy radiant heat but do not have air conditioning. For those rare hot days, each bedroom and the living room are furnished with high quality ceiling fans to keep guests cool and relaxed.  
  
Please note that our cleaning fee is “pass through”, meaning the entire sum is “passed on” to our amazing cleaning crew to support high quality work and a living wage.

\- Dedicated to hosting you and will not cancel a confirmed reservation for any reason.  
\- Committed to the property being as described in the listing.

\- Adhere to community quiet hours between 10pm and 9am.  
\- Help keep the home clean by removing all shoes before coming inside.  
\- No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.  
\- Ensure that all dogs are listed on the reservation. A $150 fee will be applied to reservations with unlisted dogs.  
\- Wash and put away your dishes and glassware after use.  
\- Remove all food from the fridge, freezer and cupboard when checking out.  
\- Do not touch the art and return furniture to its original position if moved.  
\- Spa at your own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult.   
\- Ensure all fires are extinguished.   
\- Remember that no parties or events are allowed.  
\- Clean up after your dogs. There is no poop fairy!

What a wonderful place to stay! The home itself is a gem. It is beautifully decorated and modernly equipped. The hosts were very attentive. We knew everything we needed to know about the place before we arrived, which wasn't much aside from an entry code! This was our first cross-country family trip, and we quickly found our home away from home. We enjoyed all the downtime and evenings we spent there.
