Peace and warmth in Taos

Pros: The beauty and atmosphere of the adobe style building. Being 10 minutes outside of town was relaxing and away from noise and traffic.
Location: Taos area has galeries, restaurants, Taos Pueblo, hot springs, hikes, many things to do close by and as day trips.
We spent 4 nights and loved the gracious spaces and warm atmosphere of this restored inn. Many places in the inn and on the quiet grounds to sit and enjoy the light, birdsong, etc. The staff was very welcoming and went the extra mile to make us comfortable. The place was immaculate. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. We totally recommend Blue Sky and can't wait to return.

Affordable

Pros: Breakfast, facilities, staff.
Cons: landscaping, ease of getting to the hotel, airconditioning/fan
Location: It's Taos, there is tons to do. Shopping, rafting, hiking, museums, skiing, anything you can think of in a small mountain town.
Wonderful Experience! They were so nice and catered to our stay quite well. Left a comment card for improvements for the new owners. Even for the faults it was great to support the local community and not stay at a chain hotel.

Each season brings new opportunities to see how and where our native plants grow. We make daily improvements to our 2.5 acre property and have a vision of finding balance between natural xeriscape and pristine, manicured landscaping. We are working with navigation companies to ensure consistent, reliable directions to our front door. We have a limited number of rooms with AC, and each room has an oscillating fan. Very nice quiet getaway.

It was unusually hot when we stayed at the retreat, so air conditioning would have been more comfortable. Without the unusual heat, the room was very comfortable.

Exquisite accommodation

Should have booked this location for our wedding instead of El Monte down the road. Quiet, quaint and affordable with home cooked meals. Locally run and owned. Hard to get ahold of on the phone though.

Not Your Typical Chain Hotel

This is NOT your cookie cutter chain hotel. Older "rustic" hotel... very casual atmosphere..long on charm, short on in room amenities. Rooms are small. Off the beaten path... great for nice, quiet setting but not within walking distance of town plaza. Terrific old dining room & lobby. Breakfast cooked to order... not a buffet. Owners are very helpful & friendly.

Our rooms offer basic amenities as we feel like the real value comes from nature. This is a fantastic place to slow down, disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect to your self and to the land. We have 18 guest rooms, each of which is uniquely arranged. Some Standard Queen and King rooms are cozy and some rooms, like our Superior Plus rooms, are large and can comfortably sleep 5-6 with room to spare. We are 2 miles from the town Plaza and the walk, while do-able, can be tricky as there are no sidewalks on the route. We're glad you enjoyed your breakfast in our terrific dining room. Thank you again for your support and we can't wait to see you again!

Fantastic retreat

The management and owners were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was made for our own preferences each day. It was far enough out of town that you felt like you were in a special place. Yet near hiking, center of town, nightlife, and a short drive to many other attractions of the area. We stayed an extra day because it was so peaceful and relaxing.

Hi Julio, Thank you for sharing with us your thoughts regarding our swimming pool. We got certified and opened our pool this year on June 23rd. There was an ownership change in December 2015 and this was our first season to open the pool. When we took the cover off from the winter months we were also shocked and disappointed to see that the water was exactly as you described: nasty! We spent a lot of time and energy turning that around. We are now proud to show off our gorgeous, chile pepper-shaped pool. Crystal clear and sparkling clean. Please come back and take a dip!

Quiet getaway

Everything was great , but the TV was too small, bigger TV would've been nice , very hard to locate but when finding The hotel it all worth it .
