"Villa Calipso was even more spectacular than shown in the photos. The building, the gardens and the pool were enjoyed by all in our group. Roberto,our host, was thoughtful and available, if needed. The location is perfect. Taromina is a short drive away and getting to Mt. Etna, Siracusa or Milazzo was no problem. Very highly recommended by all in our group."

"Choosing space over proximity, having 2 full bathrooms and bedrooms was a luxury and the price was right. But the fantastic views from the huge living room picture window and terrace were priceless! With a full kitchen (which also had a small freezer) we were able to prepare a lovely breakfast each morning which we enjoyed on the terrace table under an orange tree! "Yes the hotel is dated - but everything else over compensates ! The hotel is genuine beach side with a lovely beach area and pool area for guests. Tranquil garden setting that is so relaxing. Every room has their own garden or balcony and rooms are spacious. The staff were amazing ! The free shuttle to Taormina at all hours is so handy "

However on our return home we were shocked to find that as well as the cost of the stay we had also been charged an extra night as though we hadn’t shown up at the Hotel Elios. Staff on the desk have not been helpful when I called to point this out and asked us to email customer service, which I have done 3 times with no reply. I took the complaint to Expedia who said it was between us and the hotel....
