They eveb have a Ski Rental on premises. Staff also assisted us in finding great dining in town. Electrical sockets coming away from the wall, holes in the ceiling, buckled floors, water damage. The pool area looked ok, but the hot tub was cold (“Someone hadn’t plugged it in”). Hair dryer in the room had exposed wires, and the pump in the toilet tank needed attention. You get the picture. This is a pretty basic place, and way overpriced, especially mid-week. Just a couple of minutes’ drive to the mountain. And it wasn’t dirty. We went there with our little ones so we had few priorities. While booking the hotel the thing that attracted me the most is the playground. We were going there just to relax.. not for hiking or other activities. As we planned , The first thing we did was taking the kids to the playground. And oh my gosh.. there were used sanitary napkins everywhere on the ground. We were horrified.. I’m not blaming the hotel entirely. This is the other side of the hotel , but The playground pictures were included in the hotel adds so I’m assuming it’s their property. We went to the hotel right away. There was another indoor play room at the top floor. We decided to take the kids there. The kids had fun. But again it was dirty. The muffins are yummy so try that. The area is beautiful. Want to go back again during summer. But I will probably choose a different hotel. The receptionist guy was very welcoming and told me that many staffs are on vacation so I’m assuming that’s one of the reason why the play grounds are dirty. We did not realize the restaurant and bar would not be open. The common area with fireplace was designated a quiet area with no children talking or eating or moving of chairs. The man at the desk was pleasant when we checked in and billed us for the amount we booked for through Hotels.com. Upon check out no one was at reception but we called the phone number listed and they instructed us to leave our key which we did. Upon getting home we looked at our bank account and saw they charged an additional $216 to our credit card. We used this hotel purely to sleep and authorized no additional charges. We have made several phone calls but the person who answers says they're waiting for management to get back to them. We have made multiple calls over multiple days and no answer or refund. We are now forced to dispute this charge with our bank. The hotel wasn't as we envisioned from it's online description. However we would have been ok with it had they not decided to charge our card fraudulently. You'd be best served to stay away from this establishment. The location was pretty convenient to nearby mountains and attractions. The rooms are outdated, different areas of the property look abandoned, others look like some updates are being made so may get better. Overall pretty expensive for what you get. Beware of the chlorine levels in the hot tub and pool. Silver jewelry that I have worn for years in pools and hot tubs never reacted in the way the Melour water tarnished and caused some permanent damage. There were remnants of food under the furniture that had not been cleaned and dirt everywhere. The photos and descriptions on your site did not match the property we stayed at whatsoever. ##### Victoria Stayed 1 night in Feb 2022 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Kevin Feb 28, 2022 Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities Check-in was fine. I was made aware ahead of booking that there was a private party staying so I knew certain amenities such as the pool and restaurant would be unavailable to me, which I agreed to. When I got to my room however, the television didn't work and I noticed there wasn't even a cable wire for it. When I flushed the toilet, it continued to run for approximately 10 minutes. I was able to stop it because I know how to fix a toilet, but it the part still needs to be replaced. Additionally, the power outlet behind the nightstand was falling out of the wall and only one of the two outlets worked. The whole room was very dated which is fine, but it should at least be functional. The only reason that I tolerated any of this is because I was by myself and only needed a bed and a bathroom in between ski days. If you are expecting anything other than that, I suggest booking elsewhere. ##### Kevin Stayed 1 night in Feb 2022 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Alexandra Feb 27, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities It is a great location , just 8 minutes of driving from Hunter Mountain. It has a nice pool, hot tub, and few saunas. It is the perfect place to stay after you spend whole day on the mountain when you really need a good relaxing hours after your skiing time. I booked my room for weekdays , so it was pretty quiet, not busy at the pool area and clean. ##### Alexandra Stayed 1 night in Feb 2022 ### 6/10 Okay #### Elliott, New York Feb 24, 2022 Liked: Staff & service Disliked: Property conditions & facilities Thu is was a strange hotel stay. The room itself was spacious and clean, but obviously old. The beds were uncomfortable, sheets were too small and slid all over the place. The guy at the reception was very friendly and have a good tip for dining, but he was the ONLY employee we saw during the entire stay. Swimming pool had water dripping from the air vents into pool! Dirt around edge of pool Linen creased, ripped. Walls dirty dust in light fixtures and tables. Dirt on walls. A stomach turning smell throughout public hallways. Public rest rooms had urine in floors. Dirty windows….. the list is endless!! ##### Fiona Stayed 1 night in Feb 2022 ### 4/10 Poor #### christina, basking ridge Jan 7, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service Disliked: Amenities Staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. We had an issue with the tv and they came out to fix it right away. Price was ok for what we got. Room was very large, had microwave and fridge which is always a plus for a family. Room was very clean, and bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are from the 70s, with funky psychedelic wallpaper that makes you feel like you’re on a bad acid trip but were also very clean. Walls are thin so you can hear guests in other rooms til about 11pm. They had a very nice large lodge type living room with chairs and a roaring fireplace that you could sit and drink, or relax in. We weren’t there long enough to take advantage of that room. Also had free coffee and tea available 24 hours. Breakfast was included but we left early to ski so didn't take advantage of that. We stayed here for the amenities (pool, hot tub). Wanted to use them after a day of skiing. Pool is large and indoors, as is hot tub. Both are dated but were clean. Pool closes at 9pm (we arrived at 8:30pm) but staff offered to keep them open til 10pm if we wanted to use them, which was very nice. We didn’t because we were tired. There is also a large new outdoor playground younger kids would enjoy. We would stay here again for a ski night stop over. ##### christina Stayed 1 night in Dec 2021 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Victoria Dec 29, 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities Great property to stay at while skiing at Hunter. Our family had the nicest time at the Melour Resort. Simon and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. Check in was seamless, rooms were clean and tidy. I felt very safe as cameras are pointed to parking lots and other areas. Pool was immaculately clean and the temperature was perfect. The indoor game room was such a great surprise with trampoline, swing set and arcade games for all ages including giant jenga game and others. Breakfast was great! The resort is close to restaurants and all shops in Tannersville including a grocery store for last minute items. Only 3 minutes away from Hunter mountain ski resort and off the main road. Wrinkled sheets, condensation on everything, completely outdated with cheap furniture.
