Really friendly staff at the Tap House. We were shown to our room and were shown where the breakfast room, lounge and kitchen we. We also ate at the Tap House in the evening.

Perfect Location
The room was very clean and comfortable. The added bonus of the use of a kitchen and a lounge is useful too. Having access to the Nook Pub was an added bonus and we would definitely recommend their homemade pizzas and all the beers 🍻 were very tasty. We’ll definitely stay here again as it’s got the perfect location if you’re visiting the Picturedrome to see a band.

Quirky place, great food and beer selection. Food really good. Central location. Shame about car parking when it is raing, but you can't have everything. Definitely stay again.

nice comfortable rooms in centre of holmfirth. Across from Picturedrome, round corner from Sids cafe. The Nook pub and Taphouse below and also pub next door. Plenty of bars and restaurants too.

Perfect if you aren't too sensitive about noise
Great room - clean, comfortable, just a bit too noisy for us from the lively (and v pleasant) bar downstairs till too late for a family trip.

Guests checking in the earliest get first dibs on staggered breakfast slots so you might end up having to eat much later than is convenient to you as a guest. The breakfast itself is fine but served on strangely oversized plates that makes them look smaller than they really are. Single communal jug of milk kept in a tabletop fridge serves for both cereal and tea/coffee use so you need to keep going back to replenish when you top up your small cup.

Lovely place with character
Booking in was easy via The Tap room, staff friendly and helpful and showed us to our room which was really helpful. Room was clean, tidy and compact. Double bed was comfy enough but never easy when you are used to a king size but that's us, not the hotel. We stayed in one of the attic rooms which does have partial low ceiling when you get into bed but wasn't an issue. Full breakfast was very good. Just be aware that the nearby night club can be heard until the early hours of the morning if you are a light sleeper.

We had a double room in the eaves so there were beams however, we are not particularly tall so it was fine and it gave the room character. The en suite was a good size. Breakfast was good, vegetarian option and oat milk. Reallly enjoyed it.

A real gem
A great place to stay, right in the centre of things. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The pub was excellent too, with a wide selection of cask ales available, brewed on site.

Room was clean , modern and comfortable . Staff were helpful . Food was good . It was a busy hot Saturday , we anticipated it might be noisy so we took ear plugs . We would definitely book again .

Great location for gig at Picturedrome, only 100 yards away. Close to free Council run overnight parking (4pm to 8am), although signage is poor / confusing.

Great little find
Great little discovery in centre of Holmfirth. Hard to find as up a little lane but great comfy rooms and tapas to die for made up for getting lost! Totally recommend 👌

Back at the Nook
We have stayed at the Nook on a number of occasions but not for some time. It was nice to get back to the lovely rooms. Listening to the stream rolling by sends you to sleep blissfully. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast in the morning. It was good to be back.

Nice room. The bed was a bit on the small side and hard, though, which was a shame. Otherwise, it was great. Fantastic breakfast served by a helpful young woman who was very efficient.

A really really nice hotel, great rooms, better value for money. When the lock in the door snapped they immediately put me in a nicer room and went above board the following morning to sort things out, especially the woman doing breakfast, I didn't catch her name but as professionalism and work rate goes she has it in abundance and I was very grateful for her efforts. This will be where I book again next time I am up 5*

Rooms at the Nook
One night only at Rooms at the Nook. Room was rather small, at top of building, with limited head space, but very clean with modern fittings. The building was very clean throughout, breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. No parking but the Huddersfield Road Car Park is close by, no fee after 4pm to 8pm, so basically free!
