Dear Tj, Thank you for your feedback. Indeed, most guesthouses will ask you to remove your shoes inside as we welcome you as if in our homes. In all Asian Cultures, it is a a sign of due respect to remove one's shoes before you enter somebody's place. Thank you for understanding and we wish you happy discovery of this beautiful region. Dear Anonymous, We are deeply sorry for your discomfort during your stay with us. To be fair, please let us explain: Breakfast is not included in the room price and the Café is now closed as the chef has taken leave for the low season. However, if asked, we are always happy to share good advice on food. E.g: the small local outlets less than 5-minute walking from our guesthouse. Agreed, last Monday, we were all very frustrated when we had no or poor connexion from 10am to 7pm all over the region. We are very very sorry that you felt we “lied”. If we had known that some places had internet, we would have showed them to you. Why would we advertise our Wifi and not let you use it? We can assure you that now everything is working fine. We apologise however that our housekeeping forgot to provide extra toilet paper when they cleaned your room. We reminded them to check more carefully in the future. At last, we regret that you had to suffer some noisy evenings. We trust our guests to keep the noise at the minimum during quiet hours (10pm to 8am: as ostentatiously reminded all over the building). We are only sad that we were not informed the next morning as we could have moved you to a quieter room. Still, we thank you for your review: it reminds us to always keep vigilance on our guests’ well-being. Please note that we are always encouraging our guests to come to speak to us if any unease should arise during their stay; so that we can handle the situation in the best manner possible.
