Cockroach Infested & No Communication From Host
This unit is infested with cockroaches. The linens were dirty, and hair throughout the unit. The host or whoever manages the unit refuses to answer the phone. Their chat service can’t seem to do anything at all except say they are escalating the issue to the owner. We left after the second night after spraying the unit with Roach Spray and having dead cockroaches everywhere, which we documented and sent to the host chat, and Vrbo. The unit is ran down compared to the day the pictures were taken. I can guarantee there is water behind the tub, as the faucet was loose from the wall. There are oversized holes where all the plumbing comes in, as well as behind the fridge. Which is where the GIANT cockroach escaped to. After searching for the property owners online and emailing them, it turns out this is a tenant of the building putting their unit on Vrbo. They are NOT a vacation rental authorized by the City Of Tampa and I will be reporting them as such, and to the Code Enforcement, and I’ll be filing fraud complaints with the AG as well. They won’t even send you the rental agreement that supposedly governs the stay. Vrbo refuses to allow the use of the Booking Guarantee so don’t hold your breath. Overall, worst stay I’ve ever experienced, worst customer service ever, and I’ll never be returning to Vrbo. They are literally just a travel agency and they can’t or won’t do anything to help you. Literally just got ripped off for 5 nights.
