All our air conditioned rooms open to our private garden and patio with pool. Our high speed fiber optic internet is ideal for guests working remotely, as well as students doing virtual learning\*\* Hacienda del Pacifico is a newly renovated house, designed by a well known California architect. Using inspiration from traditional hacienda style, the house opens on to a very private secluded garden with a lagoon shaped swimming pool. Hacienda style is all about open air walkways that connect parts of the house. The authentic indoor/outdoor living. Unlike many of the more recently built houses and condos in the area, the Hacienda delivers a very unique Costa Rican experience. As one client expressed so well, 'you have your own tropical paradise'. The Hacienda is equipped with MistAway system that protects this property from mosquitoes & other pests. The botanical, all-natural insecticide allows you to enjoy the comforts of the outdoors without the worry of bugs. Located at the south end of Tamarindo Bay, the Hacienda is one of the very few large houses in Tamarindo that has direct beach access from the front door. (see YouTube video) Our beach area has excellent swimming and surfing along with low tide rock pools ready to explore. A short walk around the point will give you the best sunset view in Tamarindo. If you go to the beach and forget something, or you want to have one last swim as the sun issetting - your bedroom is just a minute away. The main focus of the house is the large 'walk gallery' connecting all the areas together around a central terrace area with swimming pool, patio and garden. The pool is more a free form lagoon with waterfall, which makes the garden look very tropical. All during the day, this area is frequented by a large variety of birds. Our kitchen is fully equipped and open to the patio and dining area, allowing guests to come and go as they please. The house has 4 bedrooms, all with their own bathroom. The master suite is a separate 'casita' with a livingroom area, full bathroom and outside shower area. If you have never experienced an outside shower, it is a treat to be enjoyed! We have a surfboard room and shower area so surfers and children with sandy feet can enter by a side gate and wash before entering the house area. There is parking for two cars in front of the house. All bedrooms have a small safe for valuables. Walk to town on the beach is 2 minutes. The finest hotel in Tamarindo, Capitan Suizo, is our neighbor. They serve delicious food and have music and barbeque evenings on the beach twice a week. Morning breakfast with howler monkeys in the trees is something they are famous for. Many of these howlers can be heard in the early morning from the Hacienda. Of course, making a fresh cup of coffee early in the morning in the Hacienda and then watching the sunrise on the beach is a great way to start a Costa Rican day. What is unique is our location - which has become the best residential area of Tamarindo as we are off the main area of beach traffic and noise. We have access to everything you need with or without a car. Complimentary fresh fruit, coffee, and beverages will be in the house upon your arrival. We follow the CDC recommended enhanced cleaning protocol to keep our property clean and disinfected. Bed and breakfast experience for entire family. Easy beach access, maybe 50 yards. Kids surfed every day. The best breaks were 300 yards down the beach…not bad. Although you can easily walk everywhere, having a golf cart was value add for grocery trips or late dinners. We waited for monkeys all week then last day they were everywhere. So cool! We went during rainy season but it only rained/down poured at night. My personal favorite spot was the lounge/cocktail pool. It was refreshing with opportunity to take in natural habitat. The ultimate highlight was the relationship developed with Annie (housekeeper). She is a kind and special person that made us feel special. She helped us celebrate my daughter’s boyfriend’s birthday. The property is amazingly beautiful and in a great location. Lexi was always responsive to our needs, and the property is updated and clean. We would jog each morning on the beach (just across the street) then jump in the pool to cool off. When not doing planned activities, we spent plenty of time at the beach, and my daughter and I even learned to surf board! We stayed at Hacienda del Pacifico with our family of 8 (my husband and I, our 4 kids in their 20's and 2 of their girlfriends). The space was perfect for us - we spent a lot of time hanging out by the pool, playing games at the outdoor kitchen table or at night in the air conditioned living room. We cooked our own meals a couple times after shopping at the amazing farmers market on Saturday mornings - fresh fish, fruits and veggies, homemade sourdough bread, pastries! We also had two different chefs cook for us on two nights. We did a day long trip to Rio Celeste water fall, a sloth sanctuary and a coffee/chocolate farm - such a great day. We ate so well - so many great restaurants in town..Dragonfly, Tandoor and El Sapo were some of our favorites for dinner. Cafe Tico, Breaking Bread and Waffle Monkey were all great for breakfast. We also went to the Friday night beach BBQ at Hotel Capitan Suizo across the street. The proximity to the beach is amazing - some days we would sit at the beach and on windy days we would stay by our pool - but still close so we could run down for a quick dip in the ocean. I highly recommend renting a golf cart for getting groceries or just going into town when it is hot. We would walk up the street toward Langosta to the public beach access to watch the sunsets. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning in the rooms kept things cool. The house was kept perfectly clean by Anester every day. I highly recommend this house - we loved it! ##### Julie P. Lexie helped us to organize many activities from airport transport to surfing lessons and fishing trips. My two teenaged sons spent a lot of time surfing and the beach near the home has perfect waves for beginners to more advanced surfers. The housekeeper and groundskeeper were so helpful. It was the best location we could have asked for. Quiet and away from the noise and bustle, we enjoyed sitting in the courtyard and listening to nature. It was only a short walk to town, and an even shorter walk to Langosta. The home was spotless upon arrival, and kept that way by Anester and Leo. It was a pleasure to rent from Lexie, who was always available to answer questions or help when we needed it. She even arranged transfer to/from the airport for us. We especially appreciated the coffee, juice and fresh fruit in the home when we arrived. You cannot go wrong renting this home and we wouldn't hesitate to rent again. ##### Sari B. It took us about 24 hours to adjust to outdoor living with our toddlers and babies, but honestly, we were so happy once we did. It’s a tranquil and relaxing way of life. The property is beautiful, we felt very safe, Lexi was amazing, quick to respond and very helpful. And we made a wonderful friend with Anester, the woman who comes and cleans the house. This is in a very convenient, quiet location, near the beach. I do recommend, renting the golf cart to get into town and explore easily, but it is definitely walkable if you don’t have toddlers and babies with you. We hope to visit again soon. ##### Kara B. We had a couple meals catered to the house and enjoyed a cacao ceremony/sound bath at the home as well. We were steps from the beautiful beach and just a walk from some amazing restaurants, shops and bars. Everything was beautiful, everyone was friendly, and we cannot wait to come back! Each had our own bathroom attached to the bedroom. The outdoor space was beautiful. Loved eating our breakfast outside. Well equipped kitchen though we ate out for most dinner meals. Groceries were more expensive than I anticipated. The pool was perfect. A refreshing temperature. We saw monkeys in the neighbors trees and a few iguanas that snacked on the dropped fruit in the backyard. There was a gecko and small crab in our room but didn’t bother us. The housekeeper is there daily to sweep, clean and wash towels. The beach is just across the street between the neighbor houses. I felt very safe in the neighborhood. We were a short walk on the beach or by sidewalk to the downtown scene with lots of great food and shopping. We had an amazing time and would love to return with our kids. There were 7 adults in our group who wanted something more private so we chose Hacienda del Pacifico. Pros: Each bedroom had its own bathroom. Courtyard area with pool and outdoor kitchen was AMAZING. Cleaning service came on certain days. Property felt safe and secure. Check in/out was very easy. Host was very responsive and helpful.
