The Space: Casa Cocoa is as rich as its name suggests. Strategically situated in the only gated community in the area, offers you convenience and privacy. It is impeccably designed, very well equipped, and within walking distance of everything, yet far enough to enjoy peace and tranquility. It is bright and airy due to the multiple windows and sliding doors. A lot of the furniture pieces, as well as closets and doors, are custom-made from local woods crafted by local artisans. Its colors are relaxing and inspired by the ocean, the sunset, and the sand. The house features a covered two-car port, three bedrooms, and three-and-a-half bathrooms, with a roomy and open-concept living and dining area, that is very inviting to spend time together. The kitchen is spacious and includes fancy stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, all the utensils you may need, and an island to cook at your ease. All of the bedrooms have their own bathroom, closets, TV, A/C, top-of-the-line mattresses, and linens to make sure you wake up brand new. The main bedroom has a king bed and a double vanity in the bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the third has a queen-size bed plus a bunk bed for up to 8 people sleeping comfortably. Need a travel crib? No problem! Just reach out our concierge team to arrange one. Keep in mind they are subjected to availability and have an additional charge. Outdoor living is a very important amenity in this tropical paradise that's why we have taken care of every detail for your enjoyment. The house has a large, covered terrace accessed via high-quality security glass doors built out of tempered glass. Within the patio, around beautiful tropical plants, you have a saltwater filtrated pool, a typical palapa with a thatch roof where you can BBQ, and a storage facility for your beach gear big enough to hold an ATV within it. We wouldn't be surprised if you don't feel like leaving the house and prefer spending your vacations at the pool area. The house is cooled down by efficient mini-split A/C units. There is a comfortable laundry room. For your safety, an alarm system and CCTV are installed. This vacation rental sits at a nice corner lot next to a green zone of the community as well, a convenient access gate leads you from the patio to the internal private road. The house is fully stocked with other bonus items for your personal use, such as beach towels, folding beach chairs, a cooler, and more. We also include complimentary amenities like sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, shampoo, and soap, as a courtesy for your stay. In order to maintain the security that everyone deserves, it is necessary to present the identification of the person who made the reservation at the time of check-in. The staff was incredibly helpful with scheduling different adventures and getting us invoiced in a timely manner. We also had one small issue with a toilet not working during our stay and they had someone out to fix it within 2hrs of us reporting it. It is close to the main part of town (3 minute drive or 10 minute walk) but not "in Tamarindo" so much more serene. The private pool is lovely and Playa Langosta is just a few minute walk away, very scenic -- not a great beach for swimming (head to Tamarindo for that) but great for walking on the beach and sunset. As we were told there is some construction going on nearby as of April 2025, and that is noisy at times, including on Saturdays. But there are only a few lots left to build in this area so that will abate soon, but those looking to rent in 2025 should be aware of that. Overall a great stay and highly recommended especially for ideal location, the outdoor patio/pool area, very comfortable beds, split A/C in all the living areas, and well supplied and large kitchen area. We were 7 ranging in age from 3- 67 and absolutely everyone was happy! Each room has its own en suite fully stocked and there was even a hair dryer with a diffuser attachment! The kitchen and living spaces were spacious and thoughtfully designed. The pool and patio were beyond what photos could capture and the beach access was the cherry on top. The location is perfect and if you have a rental car you can drive to almost anywhere in 5-10 minutes. Lots of walking and running routes and the Blue Zone Staff really outdid themselves with communication. The house is in a gated community and is a great setup for 2 families and the home, property and pool are beautiful! The kitchen is well stocked. The only problem we had is that the property manager charged us $40 for a missing hairdryer which we never saw or used and certainly did not damage or steal. The security entering the neighborhood and cameras outside the home were appreciated. The neighborhood was quiet except one night during our stay. The power went out twice and water went off once. Both were resolved in less than two hours. There is a light (possibly motion detected) outside in the carport which is adjacent to the master bedroom that went on multiple times in the middle of the night. The kitchen trash is extremely small for a family to use. A house manual was not provided; however, would have been helpful.
