We had 8 total and the house was a dream. Everything was well thought, clean, & organized. There was even an onsite house keeper!!! We enjoyed everything the property had to offer especially the pool and location to the beach. We had visits from monkeys to macaw parrots every day. The house and it's location we're nothing short of incredible! We felt very safe the entire time and the kids LOVED the tide pools that were 2 min away. Just got back from an amazing stay at Casa Sendero de Mar with our extended family. We all loved the house! It's in the ideal location, in the Golondrinas neighborhood in Hacienda Pinilla, which is super close to the beach and highly recommended. House is clean and spacious, and Melissa responded right away to any questions we had during our stay. We loved the large gourmet kitchen and family room, and especially the outdoor living area and pool! You can literally walk out the back door and be on the beach in two minutes, which was great for morning walks and sunsets. We wound up renting a golf cart which was perfect for getting around Pinilla (like to store, beach club, or JW Marriott, which is very close). The room situation was idea for our family of 5 adults and 4 teen and young adult children. We will have many happy memories from Casa Sendero de Mar for years to come! ##### Lori S. The house was even better than pictured, we spent hours in the pool and exploring the local beaches tide pools. The house was immaculate and had everything that we needed for a perfect stay. Melissa, was an exceptional host, when issues cropped up (as they can sometimes when you're traveling in a foreign country) Melissa was extraordinarily responsive. The house was as described and communication with the owner was outstanding. I would definitely recommend staying here with a large group of friends or two families. The bedrooms are spread out nicely so you can achieve privacy when needed. While the beach down the path out the back is pretty, that is not where you will want to swim. The beach club nearby (car or golf cart needed) has a great pool, beach and food. Having the JW nearby (walking distance) for additional restaurant options was beneficial as well. The host Melissa was an absolute pleasure to work with - super responsive and always willing to suggest things to do, arrange transportation, etc. The entire process seamless. Everything about staying in the house exceeded expectations. The layout is great - we had 4 adults + 5 children & had room to spare. An unexpected treat is that the house is within a neighborhood within a HUGE private property - it is beautiful, secluded & pastoral. Close enough to Tamarindo for a visit but so much more peaceful than staying in town. Definitely appreciated the little details: card games, pickleball paddles, beach towels. The seating area is small but has enough for maybe 6 to sit and play a game. The pool is perfect. We utilized it a few hours each day as it was super hot. The outdoor space is gorgeous as well. After a week there - we began to live the peaceful feeling of being in the neighborhood. The beach is close - gorgeous! Checking out the neighborhood private beach is also a must. It’s lovely as well. The only thing would be that all the pans are non stick and scraped off which is unhealthily for the littles. I feel like it’s pretty common in rentals though. What we didn't realize then was that he would become an invaluable part of our vacation - always available to take us wherever we needed, whenever we wanted. His assistance with translation was particularly helpful as neither my wife nor I speak Spanish, making our explorations of the local area seamless and stress-free.The house itself is simply impeccable. The daily housekeeping service maintained everything in pristine condition throughout our stay. The pool was incredible - perfectly maintained and inviting after days of adventure. The entire property is meticulously cared for, creating an atmosphere where you truly feel at home while being surrounded by luxury.One of the property's greatest assets is its location. The short path leading directly to the beach allowed us to witness breathtaking sunsets each evening. Melissa spent so much time before and during our vacation making sure that our stay was amazing. The house was exactly as we imagined from the photos and the location was incredible. We walked down the short path to the beach every day to explore the tide pools and watch the amazing sunsets. We spent one day at the Beach Club and had a great time. Melissa arranged all our tours and each of them was an incredible experience. Hacienda Pinilla is an amazing area and very safe and secure. The house is beautiful and extremely well equipped. It had everything that we needed. We decided to use the house van and driver Rodolfo, for the week rather than renting a car and driving ourselves. It was the same price as renting a large car for our group, but we had a driver for the week who speaks Spanish and knew his way around. I can’t say enough good things about our driver Rodolfo. He was amazing and I wouldn’t do the trip without having him taking care of us. We have traveled to many amazing places, but this was one of our favorite trips. My wife and kids described it as a magical adventure. Thank you, Melissa and Rodolfo, for making our trip amazing. We will be back for sure! Make sure you visit Lola’s for dinner when you get there. We heard about it from a neighbor, and we went on our last evening there. It’s a delicious restaurant on a beautiful beach surf break. ##### Clifton C.
