"Not a whole lot else to choose from in this area at a reasonable price range. Hotel rooms were large, but could have been in better condition. The window blinds don’t close all the way so you don’t have good privacy. The white carpets are badly stained. The biggest unfortunate thing however is that the hotel restaurant closes at 8pm even though the sign says 9pm. The yakiniku restaurant outside closes at 3pm! nothing else in the area, not even convenience stores. No snack vending machines...

"I loved staying at this hostel, as it had an awesome vibe. The hostel and town were like something out of Totoro. It is a nice quaint area and the hostel embodies this. The staff and owner bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. It was during the world cup, so they put all the games up on a projector. "Staying at this place gives more of a farm stay or couchsurfing feel than a guesthouse, as they only seem to have one or a few rooms. The owners take good care of their guests and are very friendly, even though they speak close to no English. The food is delicious! There are multiple dogs and cats living on the property. The house is very old and the temperature inside is almost the same as outside. Beware, there is no heating in the guestrooms nor toilets and temperatures can easily fall down...
