Overall a very pleasant stay with Palais de Chine, just the room is slightly dull. But excellent location right next time the Taipei main station and with Breeze shopping mall inside the station, can get souvenirs easily if you catch the Airport Express train to the airport, just 35mins, a much faster and cheaper way to the airport.

Lighting tends to be darker than desired. Lighting control also can be not as straight forward to use. Conceirge and baggage handlers were very friendly and efficient. They took little time to bring our stored luggage to the room, minutes after we rechecked in, while away for 1 day.

Great stay!
Visited Taipei w family. We all stayed here. Everyone is very professional, friendly and helpful. No issues w speaking English which was great! The rooms were nice and spacious enough. The hotel is also extremely convenient to the train, buses and subways. Also close to shops and food. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling for personal or business.

Superb location. The hotel ambient is on the darker side. We were initially given a room that had noise issues due to close proximity to the highway. But service recovery was excellent and re-assigned us to another room at a higher level which was much quieter. Some of the designs in the room didn't make sense - open concept bathtub, IoT lighting control needs some getting used to, toilet bidet control, and flush is located on opposite sides, the toilet has a sliding mirror "window" (why...?). The staff were pretty attentive, I actually dropped a tiny key and they actually managed to track it back to return to me even before I realised I dropped it! That was pretty amazing given how dark the whole hotel was. Will stay again for convenience if the price was affordable - the usual rates are quite out of reach.
