The location is terrible. They offer a river view, and we were only given interior rooms on the second floor. The neighborhood is very run-down and can be dangerous, even though Taipei is a safe city. Be careful: what they offer on the website isn't real; the deluxe rooms are standard rooms. The breakfast was deplorable, terrible in every way. The room wasn't cleaned, and we had to ask them to come and clean it at 7 p.m., which they did. On the positive side, the staff's friendliness. The hotel does not deserve its stars; it is old-fashioned (but that doesn't bother me). It's just dirty, with peeling wallpaper and dirty walls. The non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes, and the air conditioning was not cleaned, so it smelled bad. Breakfast was okay, but the staff were loud and argumentative with each other, making it difficult for hotel guests to eat breakfast in peace.
