This home is an ideal place for a happy vacation! Featuring two living areas and two sides of the home, this house is well situated for two families that can each have their own space. Bring your dog so the whole family can enjoy the spacious fenced-in backyard! After entering through the sizable two car garage or front door, you will find a living area, dining area and kitchen in the front part of the home. Off the breakfast nook in the kitchen is a king bedroom with a full bath and laundry in the hall. Towards the back of the home there is a second living area and dining area combined with a working fireplace. Stairs lead up to the west wing bedrooms that features a full bath and two bedrooms; one with two bunk beds and another with a queen. The east upstairs wing has a separate stairwell at the front of the house. This area has a hallway bath and three bedrooms; one with two twins, another with a queen, and the master King bedroom and bath. This home is close to skiing, downtown Tahoe City and there is nearby fun for everyone to enjoy. Parking is limited to 4 spaces. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed to make our vacation a great one. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything from any size pan you could need to spices, dish towels, and even various can and bottle openers. It seems that they took extra care to make sure the house was equipped with almost anything that you could need to make your stay a comfortable one. Being a pet friendly house was a great plus for us. The location was perfect and it was a great central location to various outdoor activities. Our family likes individual space and we had it. The house is sort of weird. Like two houses connected by a kitchen and dining room. The back half has a dining room/family room with large screen tv. Upstairs is a queen room, 2 bunk bed room and bathroom/shower.The front part of the house has a living room, king room and bathroom/shower/laundry room. Upstairs is a queen edroom, twin bed bedroom, bathroom with tub/shower and a Master Suite with private bathroom. There is a garage in which fits a compact suv and perhaps a smart car. Four compact suvs can fit in the driveway. All parking must be off street so definitely only 2 BIG cars/trucks could fit in the driveway.The kitchen had about everything one would need. The large dining table in the back part of the house could fit 10 if 2 individuals sat at each end. There was also a deck with a table and chairs just outside the back section of the house. Great access to biking, hiking and walking trails. Tahoe City is just 2 miles down the road. We hit the Farmers Market in Tahoe City, Thunderbird Lodge, the Donner Tunnels, the trail from Incline to Sand Harbor and family members biked and hiked in the area. The tub/shower didn’t function correctly and that was reported to the rental company. The garage door opener didn’t work upon arrival and immediately a replacement was delivered. When we did get in there were glasses out that had been used and dirt piles in corners of kitchen. There had been no one there the night before so why not early check in? And why wasn’t it cleaned!? We paid loads of money for 2 nights and would recommend the house for a large group but maybe not recommend the company that manages it! The kids were sooo excited & were so amazed at the size of this house & loved they could play in the snow in the backyard as much as they wanted. The pictures don't do it justice. It is roomy and comfortable. There are plenty of places to hide away and plenty of room to congregate and spend time together. The bedrooms are well organized and the materials and facilities are well cared for. It feels like a lived in home, but one that has been managed with care. The location is great and from it is an easy walk to the lake and to trails across the 89\.
