Only issue when we first arrived was that the toilet did not flush. After 3 maintenance calls I requested to change the room which they obliged. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was good and rotated every day. The main thing I did not like was that the shower door has no rubber seal to keep the water from going out into the bathroom and almost requires someone to put a towel down behind the door while showering otherwise it becomes dangerous, however after staying in numerous hotels in the area, almost every one is this way. I checked a few hardware stores and no one seems to know the rubber strip I’m referring to and many of the showers have raised floors to keep the water from coming out into the hallway which could all be solved by one piece of rubber weather strip which seems to not exist here. Back to my point though , I enjoyed my stay at the Belian as did my wife and I would recommend this hotel over many of the other hotels I’ve been to. From the customer service point of view, they are not welcoming and smiles were rare. The sheets and towels were very old. And I was charged P200 for a powder make up stain. No hotel has done that to me before. It means the laundry service is poor because they haven’t figured out how to remove powder make-up from sheets. The towels were very raggedy and old and no washcloth was included in the rooms - a very basic need in any hotel. The water in the shower had very, very low pressure and no bath mat was provided so the outside of the shower stall was wet after every shower. Surclassé parce que le type de chambre réservé n'était plus disponible. Cette superbe chambre était malheureusement extrêmement bruyante car donnant sur une rue très passagère. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi la notion de bruit et le fait de mettre des doubles vitrages n'existent nulle part aux Philippines au moins dans ce genre d'hôtels. Ne pouvant rester là, on ma donné une chambre sans fenêtre...tout aussi bruyante par la climatisation, celle de la chambre elle-même et celle de la chambre voisine. Un gap avec la chambre dite de luxe ! Bref un rapport qualité prix très négatif. Area was safe and walking distance to the port. Rooms needed to be updated just a little bit.
