Newly converted for Summer 2021\. Refurbished and furnished to a very high standard. Located in the same courtyard as the ever popular Primrose and Bluebell Cottages. Situated between the villages of Towton and Barkston Ash. This single storey cottage is a wonderful holiday home and an ideal spot from which to explore the North Yorkshire area and beyond. With 2 bedrooms it comfortably sleeps 3 people and has a well equipped kitchen and living area. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower. WIFI, TV and parking available. Well behaved dogs are accepted- please note this is a working farm and dogs must be kept on a lead at all times around the farm. Under no circumstances must pets be left unattended in the cottage. James et al were accomodating in every way and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage has a well equipped Kitchen with some essentials, and plenty of storage space throughout. A handy welcome booklet, some local attraction leaflets and local OS map are supplied which came on very useful when thinking up of ideas to entertain our young kids. We stayed here because we’d booked onto a course in Sherburn in Elmet. The cottage is even better than the pictures, immaculate, really clever layout, super comfy beds and the shower was amazing. It could not have been closer to the description in the advert. It was a peaceful place, a beautiful cottage, immaculately clean, very tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and with the most amazing wet room and all the necessities provided on arrival at the cottage. The owners and family living around and about were so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. The location is ideal in that it was only a short drive to park and ride and then a 10 minute bus into York and whilst staying in Towton, there were some lovely pubs serving food, one of which we visited. The entire stay was so relaxing and to be honest, I don't want to recommend it as I don't want too many people to know about it as I will be staying there again without a doubt! Toni welcomed us warmly making on our arrival easy. The unit was newly renovated and very comfortable. It is in a lovely quiet area close to several Lake Area villages, a grocery store and local pub where we had lunch. We explored York, Whitby and Robins Hood Bay over the weekend. Met the owners who are extremely friendly, on hand if you needed anything and advised us on our visits. Would we recommend? Absolutely!
