Pros: location
Cons: Rooms decor
It was good they are in the remodeling now . They had not gotten to the rooms yet so it was a bit older looking.. hopefully after the remodel it will be better

Under renovation

Posted 12-Sep-2017
I had no idea what hat this place was under construction when i booked i was there to celebrate with family and the pool and spa was closed number 1 reason i chose here The people in the hotel were quite seedy as it was a little scary not knowing if this was a place for hookers or drug dealers? It was awful!!!

Undergoing Complete Renovation

Posted 11-Sep-2017
The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation which was not known at the time of booking this hotel. The toilet was not bolted down, the exercise room reeked of dampness from the old carpet. the desk chair was broken, the elevator had food on the floor and the walls were dirty. I think the remodel will make this hotel a better place in the future. If I had known going into this I might have had a different expectation but unfortunately, there wassn't information about the renovation when booking here.

No Outside walls

Posted 10-Sep-2017
We arrived at the hotel to see major renovations being done and the pool closed. When we talked with the front desk to ask about cancelling she said that was fine but they were going to charge for the first night. We said that we didn't know that there were under construction. She said that it was listed. I later found it listed down at the bottom of the site and it stated that there may be renovation. We had asked to speak with a manager she said she was the manager. I tried to speak with Expedia and they tried talking to the hotel but she wouldn't budge on charging the fee. My husband went to tell her fine we were going to stay but why would they want unsatisfide customers staying there, when another lady came from the back and asked if she could help. We explained the situation and she said that she could waive the fee and that she was the manager. We asked who the other lady was and she was the manager of the front counter.

Construction is not an excuse for poor conditions

Posted 10-Sep-2017
Pros: The staff was friendly and apologetic for the poor conditions of the hotel
Cons: This hotel should be closed until renovations are complete.
Location: I didn't feel safe in the neighborhood. There was a bar located across the street that was super loud. I couldn't get to sleep.
This hotel is currently under renovation. The molding if ripped off. The carpet is in shreds. The windows are covered by scaffolding and plastic. The elevators don't go to all the floors so you have to make detours. Signage is taped to the walls. Fixtures were off the walls. What remains is in depleted condition and not clean. The walls and doors are scuffed and need to be painted. The furniture in the room was stained. I didn't want to sit in it. The toilet seat was corroded and discolored. I didn't want to sit on that either. A hole in the bathroom floor had been covered by some putty. The putty had been splattered all around the bottom of the toilet. I think it was putty. I hope it was putty. You can see around the doors and hear everything going on in the halls. It was hot in the room so we turned on the air conditioning unit. It was so loud. I felt like an airplane was taking off in our room so we had to keep it off so we could sleep. I can understand the difficulty of the housekeeping crew to have to clean dilapidated facilities, but our room was not clean. There was a big spider web in the corner of the room. The shower tile was discolored and molding. The counter top in the bathroom around the sinks was not clean.

Carpets were filthy dirty, room doors stuck when trying to open which caused loud noises every time you opened or closed the door, hotel was under construction outside and caused some of the cable to not work in some rooms and also caused loud noises during the day, no baseboards within the rooms or out in the hallways, curtains in the room were dirty.

It'll do, but it wasn't great

Posted 9-Sep-2017
We were just in town for one night and needed a place to sleep. I have stayed with Red Lion before and it was fine. This facility is in desperate need of an upgrade, which they are currently working on. The room was clean and smelled much better than the lobby and hallways, which was encouraging. The bed was springy and old. The pillows were small and lumpy. It did the trick, but I wouldn't have stayed another night if we were in town longer.
