Great staff, construction zone

Posted 18-Jul-2017
The staff was so helpful and kind. I needed to do a load of laundry and by the time I got the kids to bed they were closing it down for the night. The security guard kindly left it open for another hour, and locked it for me after. The only downfall there was construction everywhere.

Gives Red Lion a bad name

Posted 17-Jul-2017
Really poor! I realize the hotel is going through renovation but this is no excuse for having a dirty room!

I made a reservation through Expedia. When I got there they said there weren't any vacancies.

Remodeling

Posted 13-Jul-2017
Bed comfortable, but the hotel was old. It was in the middle of a remodel. Once Ithey get the new carpets in and finish the Renovations it could be nice.

Okay hotel, sketchy location

Posted 13-Jul-2017
Overall my stay at the Red Lion was fine. Pros: wi-fi, view of Mt. Rainier, close to the freeway and Starbucks. Cons: would not feel comfortable walking past the parking area, people loitering in the parking lot, and the common areas could be cleaner. The staff was generally very accommodating. You might want to rotate the meat selection for breakfast. Six days of sausage gets old.

Beware!!

Posted 9-Jul-2017
The Expedia listing said that the hotel was under renovation and some rooms may be affected. The second floor smelled like skunk, the lobby was all ripped up and our room on the third floor was disgusting. Considering that I was staying at the dorms at the u of w during a workshop the day before-saying I would never stay here again is a huge understatement. The staff was rude, the shower was filthy and one of the pillows has makeup smeared all over it. Ugh!!!

Not worth the money

Posted 9-Jul-2017
We booked a king and were told they didn't have any. When my husband got irritated they found us one anyways. Than we get up to our room and the door was open and a complete disaster. Go back down and they give us a new room. The room was pretty nice. The pool is nasty! It smelled like chlorine so bad our eyes burned and the building is falling apart.. the bar across the street was playing music so loud you could here everything going on and the person directly across from us were smoking weed and slamming the door all night shaking the hold area.it was horrible. At least the front desk staff were nice and the room was decent. not worth the money at all

Fourth of July

Sockets in room was coming out of the wall. Maid didn't clean my room on second day. At breakfast time everyone was trying to use one waffle machine which takes about 2min to cook on.
