It's a beautiful place, well appointed, wonderfully clean. Staff friendly and quick to remedy a couple small troubles. Definitely returning.

More than expected.

Hotel had cozy charm, easy to find and plenty of parking. Surrounded by soothing sounds of the Seneca River. Room was spacious with cozy lighting and warmth that greeted me after checking in late on cool night. Bed very comfortable. Ample wall sockets throughout the room. Amenities in room: hair dryer, Iron and full size iron board. Breakfast downstairs off the lobby area; not large offering, but sufficient for busy traveler. Fast computer and printer available for guests. Staff friendly and ready to please and quickly resolve issues (had problem with wake up call not requested). Very unique, specially made for hotel soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lotion for each room. Convenient location; within walking distance to various types of restaurants, shops, pharmacy, (historic) buildings and churches. I loved each of the five days I stayed at this inn and will be back again!

Disappointing

Posted 10-Nov-2015 on Hotels
I have used this hotel many times since they opened several years ago as it is very convenient and is in such a nice location. However, the last couple of stays have been a bit disappointing. Foe one, the wi-fi worked off and on, mostly slow or not at all for my two day stay. The DVD player did not work on the TV but I did not complain since it was not critical. There was no wash cloth in the bathroom - not sure if it was an oversight, but one did not appear on the second day of my stay, so they may have discontinued providing them. Overall, I just had a feeling that the room was not as clean and well cared for as it has been in the past. The morning breakfast is just OK, not like it used to be. Limited choices, no fresh fruit and no juices were provided. I'll probably stay again, but it will be my last time if it is not better than this recent visit.

I loved my stay here! The hotel and town were super cute. Wish I needed to travel to Syracuse more often!

Overnight stay

Posted 19-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Stopped overnight to visit family in the area. Room was very clean and there are lots of restaurants to choose from within walking of this establishment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Was disappointed in the smallness of the room. Felt like I was in an attic room.

Nice room, great view

Very quaint inn. Big change from the mill that I remember as a child. Nice job refurbishing. Studio room was small, but very comfortable. Great view of the canal. Walking distance to down town, restaurants and bars.

A quick commute to downtown Syracuse

Posted 14-Oct-2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: Put a microwave in the lobby/breakfast nook.
Location: It was 12 miles from downtown Syracuse, but the trip was mostly on the interstate so we were downtown in just about 15 minutes.
Nice hotel on the river, in a quiet neighborhood with a fun restaurant within walking distance. Got to watch a yacht use the nearby lock on our first morning while we ate our free continental breakfast. The only thing I missed was not having any access to a microwave in the room or the lobby. Otherwise, I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful setting. The personnel at the reception was very helpful & nice. The room was very clean, but the bed (regular double) was not comfortable for 2 people. However, since they could not provide a room with a queen or twin beds, they put up a roll-up bed which was nice. Breakfast was basic, very basic.
