Take a load off at Lazy Bear Cottage, a cute cabin nestled on the side of the mountain that will accommodate up to 6 guests! This privately owned two-bedroom, two-bath cabin offers stunning mountain views, central location and everything you need to call it home. When you arrive, you will be greeted with warmth and a home full of custom furnishings, decorations and everything you may need for your perfect vacation. The inside is open and spacious will tall vaulted cathedral ceilings, plenty of windows for natural light and an open kitchen/dining/living room space in the front of the home. The living room is equipped with a queen sleeper sofa, flat screen tv with DISH satellite service and high-speed wireless internet service. The owner's suite has a king size bed and its own full bath. The secondary bedroom offers a queen size bed and its own bathroom that can be accessed from the bedroom or the hallway. Love to entertain and cook? The fully stocked kitchen is ready for your expertise with plenty of space to easily seat your party. Outside you will find a huge wrap-around porch overlooking the woods on one side and the long-range mountain views on the other. Light up the grill or sit by the fire pit and enjoy doing a whole lot of nothing! The cabin is just minutes from Dillsboro, Sylva and Franklin where you can find dining, over a half-dozen breweries, shopping, historic Main Street activities and festivals, rafting, hiking and so much more all within 15 or so minutes. Take a drive over to the Nantahala for some of the best whitewater rafting around, press your luck in Cherokee at the Harrahs Casino or shoot over to Maggie Valley for snow skiing in the winter, all a quick 30-35 minutes drive away! Easy access to Sylva, Cullowhee, Franklin, Byrson City, and a fun drive up the parkway to get to Gatlinburg without getting on the interstate!Property was very clean and well stocked with cooking supplies, games/movies, linens and everything! Bed was very comfortable, A/C worked well and the ceiling fans were nice for sleeping. Wi-Fi worked well and there's soaps in the showers. If you're a coffee person they have a Kurig and some coffee pods already there. If you have a type you like, just bring your own pods.Great porch view to enjoy morning coffee...feels like its just you and the mountains!Part of the road to get to the property is unpaved but it is not as bad as some posts make it sound like. As long as you don't have a compact car you should be fine! Parts are steep, but once you do it the first time you know what to expect and its really not bad. ##### Paul G. We’ve stayed at many vrbo rental cabins over the years. Some of which are a bit of a hike to get up to. This cabin was perfectly located and was not hard to get to either. There was always a little park next to creek right down the road. Which was perfect for two restless kiddos after a 12 hour road trip. The cabin was still cutely decorated for Christmas. The beds and pillows were comfy. The only thing we were little weary about was the dining chairs. They are not suitable for larger guests. Other than that- truly amazing time and amazing cabin! It was good for a work trip and not having to pay for it myself. A bit scary last mile up the mountain buts that’s a personal problem lol. It could definitely benefit from having a facelift. No tvs in the bedrooms is a big bummer for us who go to sleep with one on. Hot water runs out very quickly so make sure to time out showers between people with extra time. Master bed is hard as the floor, master shower has poor water pressure and needs new sliding doors. Water pressure in 2nd bath is good. Bring paper towels as they were not supplied and if you want better than 1/2 ply toilet paper you may want to bring your own. ##### Lindsey G. The cabin is precious and scenery beautiful but we had no way to get in touch with the property manager or owners about issues. We had no sheets for the pullout bed, it stuck and would not fold back in and the power went out for over 12 hrs. These are minor things and we made do BUT no one returned our calls. One person called back and said they no longer worked for the rental company. Very frustrating and scary. If there was a serious issue there was no way to contact anyone. The owners left a note saying don't hesitate to contact but no email or phone number to do so. My emails from VRBO left a number for the owners but that was the person who no longer worked for them. ##### Margaret ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Jo D. 19 juill. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Family around the fire This was the perfect place to stay and spend evenings around the fire. We loved that there was enough wood provided for multiple evenings, roasting marshmallows on the provided sticks, and space for five to sit around chatting. With two bedrooms and bath, the family had what was needed for the evening. Suggestion is to have one more red chair for the firepit--assume it recently needed to be replaced and just hadn't been yet :) Thanks to you and the property manager for being quick to respond during and after the rental process. ##### Jo D.
