"The property was just as listed, clean, close to everything and perfected located on the Mardi Gras route! The bakery next door was a surprise and delight for a morning coffee. We had quick responses to any of our queries and could also check in earlier than expected which was a greatly appreciated for the weary Londoners arriving at 5am. Definitely recommend this property!"

"The house is in a really nice location for seeing the sights and attractions of Sydney. It's a very pleasant house to come back to after a day out. The beds were comfortable. The car space was also very useful. The neighbourhood is pleasant with coffee shops and pubs etc. Perfect for those who need somewhere comfortable to stay in a great location but who also plan to spend a lot of time out and about."

"While the property is faily nice and in a great location, I would never stay there again due to two big minuses: 1) the price charged by the property exceeded the price on the VRBO listing. 2) communication with the property manager was abysmal. I first knew something was wrong when I received what read like a scam email stating that if I did not pay additional money within 24 hours, my booking would be cancelled and all funds received to date would be kept. "We stayed at the property the weekend before we were due to drop our daughter off to start at Sydney Uni, so it was very convenient for the campus. The house itself is very Newtown - beautiful in a shabby chic kinda way. All the quirks of the place are clearly described before you get there and it isn’t a pristine boring little box - But we loved it. Neighbourhood is safe and interesting, full characters and cats to meet. Highly recommend"

"Let's start with what knocks this from a 5 to a 4. My wife is a neat freak. She first noticed the crums under the toaster and food scraps in the utensil drawer, couch wasn't cleaned with whatever slips inbetween the cushions and dead bugs behind furniture that can be easily moved and vacuumed. The kitchen needed more furniture. The towels left for us looked like they were washed and left to dry in the machine. The cotton towels had the consistency of sandpaper. "Our whole family stayed at this property. The location is wonderful - walking distance to train/bus lines that connect you to downtown/beaches. There are yummy places to eat within walking distance. The property layout is very unique with 3 levels - each with a porch that overlook an indoor courtyard. That said we had 2 issues - #1 downstairs mattress was not acceptable - hard and worn, #2 we found multiple large spiders and cockroaches in the house. We appreciated our stay and would stay again...

"Vacationing with family and looking for a place that is close enough to cbd that has all the amenities , and this place has all the amenities that we need . Situated in a non touristic area and only 15 min walk to cbd . Two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor and living room and kitchen on the 2nd floor. Claudia, the host , is very responsive ."

"Staff were amazing in accommodating a couple of extra requests, wifi was fast, rooms were clean and well equipped. Great value for money in an excellent location that was walkable to most attractions, and public transport was easy to use for those other locations. Building works were underway but had minimal impact on our stay. Would stay here again. "
