I booked accommodation for 3 adults, which was positioned as a room with 3 single beds. Paid over $800. Was sent an email confirmation which confirmed 3 adults. Upon arrival the receptionist told us our room had one king bed, to which I said 'I booked for 3', where she replied '3 fits in this room'. The room was a 'junior suite'. I said we were 3 adults and would not be sharing a single bed. She did not at all see the issue with this. I have since looked on your website and it states clearly that the suite is suited to a 'maximum of 2 adults', not 3. Eventually she downgraded us to a 'standard double room' but offered no sort of refund for the downgrade from the suite. Please call me about my booking. I booked with Novotel through my company as it is a preferred provider for Deloitte and if I do no receive communications about my experience I will let them know that the booking process is inadequate.

Just was not impressed with this hotel. Front desk staff very weak and some just not friendly. Room was super small. Floor four when I checked in had trash all over the place in the hallway. Just very average. I’ll choose elsewhere when I come back to town. Sorry.

Location is quite good. You can go circular quay and other points without transportation. Compared with this, price is low enough. However, design of bathroom in room 708 was quite problematic. Toilet paper is located on the "back wall" of toilet, this makes quite uneasy to use. The shower booth doesn't have the door or curtain to prevent the water spilling out from the booth. Also, drain is stuck.

Spent the first three days in a room with a shower that flooded due to clogged drains. Followed up on it multiple times to be told they would sort it which didn’t happen and then we had to move rooms due to the problem. Moved to new room which had someone’s used hair clips on the floor. Woke up the next morning to ice cold showers, when we notified reception they said they were aware of the issue and that’s as far as it went. Asked prior to arrival if we could have a late checkout due a late flight, received no response. Asked in person on check in and the lady said that it wasn’t a problem and to come closer to the end of our stay to confirm a time, however, not on the morning we were due to check out as it was their peak time. We went back in regards to this two days prior to checking out and were told that they could not give us a late checkout until the day of our checkout - completely contradictory to what we had previously been told. We went back AGAIN the next day to see what we needed to do in order to organise this, the manager said he would organise it, attempting the key card 3 times. The day of our checkout we had the housemaid walk into our room with extremely minimal notice prior to when we were meant to check out. She then questioned if we were checking out and what time our late checkout was until. Less than 10 minutes later the reception was ringing our room asking us when we were checking out. The laundry has been removed with no alternatives or notice.

My mother died, and this poorly run, over priced property wouldn’t even consider changing the date of my booking so I could visit again in the future. An awful establishment absolutely devoid of any compassion or redeeming qualities
