Amazing place to stay
Highly recommend the Sandstone Apartment as a place to stay. Location is amazing and only a quick walk to the beach. The apartment exceeded my expectations in its size. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Loved the décor and the framed sandstone. The Host was super friendly and helpful. Look forward to staying there again in the future.

Unique Bondi Accommodation
The lower level of this home has exposed sandstone walls that are highlighted to provide a unique grotto-type atmosphere. The living space is large and we really enjoyed our stay. The only negative that must be considered is that because the stand stone walls are exposed, the apartment does have high humidity and during heavy rain, water actually trickles down the sandstone. This was actually a cool feature, but anyone sensitive to moisture or damp may wish to consider. Nonetheless we loved our stay.

Great base to explore Bondi
Thank you for having us at your lovely apartment, the rock detail was amazing and so unique. Walking discuss to both Bondi and Tamarama Beach, lovely cafe with great coffee and food directly opposite. The hosts father who lives in the main house above is very friendly and helpful with info about the area and provided us with boogy boards for the kids. The apartment was exceptionally clean and the main bed was very comfortable. Kids were on fold out beds in the lounge. The table tennis was loved by both kids and husband! Would stay again

Great family holiday
Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Brilliant location near the beaches and easy transport options. Lovely set up to rest in between our adventures too, plus it was nice to have lots of games available to keep the kids entertained.

While the photos appear to represent the apartment, what they don't represent is the smell of mould or the damp clammy feeling you get upon walking into the bedroom. Water trickling down the exposed sandstone walls, and under the skirting boards onto the floor. This apartment is a health hazard and should be shut down. We had to move to alternate accommodation. The owners have not responded to email or phone calls, and a knock on their door before we left to discuss matters. 0 stars

A good summer let, not so good in winter
Property is semi basement, rather gloomy and very cool (cold) and damp in July. Water running off the sandstone wall in bedroom. Dehumidifier had some affect, though tank was full after a few hours Would work well as a holiday home in heat of summer. Rather miserable in cooler months

Great Hospitality
We had 3 nights at the apartment. It was clean and spacious. John was wonderfully hospitable, offering suggestions on where to visit in our brief stay. He literally gave me the jacket off his back as the wind chill caught us by surprise and we were freezing. He offered one for my daughter too. We had a wonderful stay and definitely recommend the Sandstone.

We had 3 nights here and we all found the place very comfortable. Great location and everything we needed for a short stay to enjoy Sydney. The oldest particularly enjoyed chats with the owner.

Very cold and damp inside property with only a small bar heater provided, no tv and no parking on site and only 2 hour parking available on streets made our stay very anxious. Location was great and in Summer would be lovely but not for us.

Had an early communication issue asking for entry details but upon making contact was able to get an early entry which much was appreciated. A unique sandstone ground floor space which was spacious and comfortable. John upstairs was very informative and friendly. Could improve on providing more cooking utensils and needs for a short term stay.

The location was wonderful, close walk to the beach and the shops. The weather was not so good but we managed to get around ok and managed to walk around a couple of times when the rain had stopped. Our family of four stayed for two nights. The location was within walking distance (5-10 minutes) to two beaches. Very nice. This basement apartment is artistic and generally clean. The unique sandstone cutouts are quite incredible. A+ for experience. The floor is very cold concrete, so you'll want slippers. In general, the apartment feels damp and it may aggravate those with sensitive allergies. There were very strong incense throughout the apartment, which I put under the sink as they were too strong. If you have a car, parking is a challenge. While the host provides details of 24-hour free parking zones, one day we got parked-in and couldn't get out. Another day the free zone wasn't available in the morning due to garbage collection. Parking in general in Bondi is not easy, you would be better off not having a car.

Exceptional experience
This has to be one of the best Australian apartments we have stayed in. A unique ‘sandstone’ cave as the man that created it called it with all of the mod cons. The owner, John, was very friendly and helpful in so many ways. It is ideally situated close (350m) to Bondi with easy access to the Bondi to Brontë cliff walk and many eateries. It is the place to stay if you are visiting the eastern suburbs of Sydney. And with the best coffee/cafe across the road what more could you ask for???

We loved this property for our long weekend in Sydney, it was very clean and smelt fresh. It’s super spacious and close to bus stops. We especially loved the raw sandstone sections in the water where we could watch the water filtering through

Beautiful accommodation at premium location
The apartment is beautifully architecturally designed and decorated. Definitely was created with luxury in mind. The interior design is beautiful however less practical on a day to day or questionable depending on your personal preferences. Like the lack of curtains on bedroom windows and shower glass/curtains. What didn’t worried us. It was very warm, comfortable and clean. And it was very cold outside and I’m a cleaning freak . Kid’s loved the table tennis and location is perfect. The kitchen is not equipped for a master chef but with all the restaurant, cafes and deliveries around it should be an easy fix. Plus owner upstairs was super friendly and happy to help if any extras are needed. Public transport was a breeze even for total newbie’s like us. Price was incredible and definitely worth every penny!
