Nice hotel close to transport and facilities.
Nice hotel, very close to train, bus and food. Rooms were large and well appointed. Three minute walk to Town Hall Station and only 20 min train from the Airport. So many food options and nearest mall has outstanding Japanese, Korean and desert options (Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake is a must).

Room was clean and roomy. I was allowed early check in. The only discomfort was that the room was too cold. Air conditioner not working and I refuse to believe the hotel management was not aware of it as previous guests would have reported it considering it is winter. I was offered a portable heater which then took off the nice hotel experience for me

Was close to everything.. although it was our anniversary and was promised a bottle of wine and didn't receive anything. The other disappointment was the spa bath which sold us this room was extremely small and would not fit 2 people in.

Excellent location, close to train station and Sydney CBD. Also close to convenient stores for any required utilities or snacks with plenty of food options in surrounding area. Large room itself as described, however missing attention to detail for better rating (dirty cups, replenishment of ammenities after 1st night etc.)

We chose this Hotel as it is very convenient in location to tourist spots, with having the train station in close proximity. Hotel room was clean & tidy and met our expectations. Front of House staff were very friendly & professional.

Central hotel handy for business
Small room but not unexpected. Very large bathroom however and very clean. Was a bit odd in that there were no electrical sockets near the bed (but they had an unplugged alarm clock sitting on the bedside table). Also no hanging space (I ended up using the decorative wooden circles on the wall). Very handy location for work and staff very pleasant and efficient.

Good hotel, disappointing house keeping.
I was staying in a three single bed room, and there were three people staying in the room. There was only two glasses and the house keeping staff tend to avoid filling shampoo and bady wash.

Not worth the price
No bar. The elevator was broken my whole stay, had to use the dodgy old service entrance or the creepy stairway. The executive king room was so tiny, and it was just two double beds pushed together. The house keeping knocked my door 3 separate times even though I kept saying no thank you. The lady at the front desk asked for a deposit receipt and I couldn't remember where I placed it and just said, quite rudely, "what why? It's YOUR money. Why don't you have the receipt?" I was very taken aback. She was polite later. Room service menu was sad. The heating/air conditioning made my throat sore and I got quite sick. The lobby wasn't much to look at. The whole hotel does not seem 4 star AT ALL. At this price, I expected so much better. I'm not sure how this place has good ratings.

Great option
Great location, good stay. I was nervous based on some reviews, but this was great for a brief stay. Just an easy walk to the harbor (17 minutes), Darling Harbour (12 minutes) and next to the main streets. Room was big! Bathroom small, but fine. No great view, but that was no big deal, I wasn't there to spend time in the room. Internet was ok. I didn't do breakfast or use many hotel amenities.

Improvements to service needed.
Most of my stay was good. Room service was terrible though. It was cold when it arrived, extremely expensive and then they charge $5 for it to be delivered to your room as well! The checking out staff were also slack. I asked for my suitcase to be stored for the day and it sat there for about 10 minutes, in the foyer, before they stored it. Luckily I was there to watch it in case someone else took it. They also wouldn't call a taxi for me when I asked. They told me to walk up the street and get one.

Very convenient
Stayed for 5 nights while on business. Room was a good size and comfortable. Lots of good eating places nearby. Easy walking to City center and close to rail. Very easy and hassle free stay. I'll will be back in 3 months.

Comfortable, clean and good location
Staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay and we found the deluxe room clean and big enough for what we needed. The king sized bed was actually two double beds pushed together but that seems to be the norm anywhere you go, however, it was still very comfortable even with our two year old daughter sleeping in the middle. The location of the Hotel is only a couple of blocks down from Pitt Street Mall and one block away from Town Hall Station which made it very convenient to get anywhere or anything, especially with a toddler. The buffet breakfast would've been good if it was included in the room price but we would not recommend it unless you are stuck for time. Don't get me wrong this is not a deal breaker but due to the location of the Hotel there are so many options near by. Get out and explore!

Small room but clean and had the general requirements. Location good in City Centre. Staff good. No view. Would not use it for a holiday but for 3 days work where you are out early morning and back late night it was good.

Great location
Centrally located hotel, close to everything. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Only drawback was the noise coming from the construction across the road, which continued well into the night.

Perfect room for a short stay!
We got the compact room, it was perfect for our short one night stay. It has everything you need with kettle and plenty of power points. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows are great. The bathroom is almost as big as the room. Lovely bathroom with a big shower. The room we had was quiet and you wouldn't think you were in the heart of Sydney! Free WIFI is also a big plus. Very much enjoyed our short stay, would definitely come back.

Great place close to every thing food coffee as naff breakfast buffet if you want. Also has tour information. Shower great pressure hot quickly the cleaning ladies are so nice and very accomadating big tick to them as well as the reception staff loved it

Short stay in city
Great location with easy access. Room was clean and very adequately equipped. Shower shelf was rather high but everything worked well. Rooms were smoke free but we are very smoke sensitive and smelt smoke.

Value for money, great location!
Simply love the comfortable and clean room and the location. It is just 2 minutes walk to the TownHall Station and 5 minutes all the key shopping area and amenities. My 2nd stay with Metro on Pitt.

There are better hotels for this price.
The hotel is not bad, however, I was expecting something better for a 4 stars hotel. Now it is really noisy outside the hotel because there is a building just on the front, but unfortunately, I was not noticed regarding this and I had to be changed to a smaller room I had booked without any compensation and the staff was not really friendly regarding this issue. The heater/aircon is really noisy as well.

Surprisingly Great
My stay here was actually surprisingly good. The front desk staff were very perky, helpful and accommodating. The room is actually pretty good and amazing water pressure. The location is also perfect right in the heart of the city. I'd stay here again easily.

Smart affordable central city
If you want to be in easy walking distance of all Sydney's attractions at an affordable price, Metro on Pitt fits the bill. Its rooms are smart and clean. The staff are very helpful.You may not have a view, but if you're like me, you won't be spending much time inside. There are too many beautiful places to visit and to be in.

The hotel is very near to everything you need. Just a short walk to Chinatown and Darling habour so it is easy to find good food. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful.
